25.01.2022 Where can we even begin? This week was Jay’s last day on the farm. Jay and his partner Kim are starting their own farm in south Gippsland @intotherootsfarm We couldn’t be more proud. This big guy joined the team a year ago, it’s hard to remember how we did this without him. The people you farm with are much more than your co-workers. The time we spend together, the hard work and the shared experiences make us family - it sounds cheesy but it’s the truth.... So we are sad to start the first day without you Jay, missing the big hugs, your unique energy and your gross 'cricket protein' shake. But we are happy because you are making your dream come true and we know that we are family and you are not going anywhere. So make sure to give into the roots some insta love @intotherootsfarm and keep your eye out for their veggies and flowers this summer! See more

25.01.2022 important update This week will be the last week we attend @thefitzroymillsmarket before we take our yearly winter break. Next week the team will be taking a week off - please see post for market dates changes. Farm gate will reopen as usual on the 11.7, and we will attend Alphington on the 12.7!

24.01.2022 Spring Spring Spring Spring! Our favourite season has arrived, and we couldn't be happier. We've been feeling everyones' yearn for freedom, just like our beloved veggies and flowers. The very thought of sunshine has us, the bees and the plants excited! We hope you feel it too. Here is one of our honey bees pollinating our flowers that will soon be harvested. #mossywillowfarm #regenerativefarm #regenag #regenerative #regenerativeagriculture #morningtonpeninsula #farm #smallfarm #spring

17.01.2022 Spring sunshine, oh how we adore you. The sun brings warmth and energy to us, the farm and our little plants! These beets were planted last week, just in time for Spring. We will care for them over the next 2 months until they are ready to be harvested and made available for everyone to enjoy. With the right soil and conditions, anyone can plant these little ones in their backyard! What are you planting at the moment? #mossywillowfarm #regenerativefarm #regenag #regenerative #regenerativeagriculture #morningtonpeninsula #farm #smallfarm #spring #sunshine

15.01.2022 This is a collaborative garlic project we’ve been working on with @edigrocer and @barragunda We planted these garlics together (while socially distancing) back in May and just look at them coming along. 15.01.2022 How great is this event! Our friends at Small Giants Academy are hosting a series of conversations and masterclasses developed with thought leaders, exploring the design of a new economic paradigm and the leadership attributes it requires. We would love for you to join the next instalment with Dr Julia Kim from the Gross National Happiness Centre in Bhutan. Julia Kim is a medical doctor, global public health expert and the Program Director at the Gross National Happiness (GNH) Centre in Bhutan. GNH is a holistic and sustainable approach to development, founded in Bhutan, which balances material and non-material values through a thoughtful and practical policy and decision-making framework.

14.01.2022 We are so looking forward to being back at Alphington Markets this weekend! Drop by and grab your fresh seasonal veggies for the week from us, and treat yourself to some freshly picked Spring flowers. If you can’t make it, we’re still taking veggie box orders until Thursday evening. Jump on our online store, pick what you’d like and choose your pick up location. ... And yes, there’ll be fresh greens available, picked this week by the legends Lara and Lucille! 11.01.2022 We were at the Alphington Farmers' Market today distributing veggie boxes and selling Anemones and Radunculus flowers that were grown on the farm (they sold out in 30 minutes!). Don't forget that our online veggie shop opens on Tuesday mornings and pick up locations are Mossy Willow and the Alphington Farmers' Market. As soon as we can, we'll be selling directly from our farmgate and selected markets. You can find more information on our online shop page: https://www.mossywillowfarm.com/shop #melbournefarmersmarkets #alphingtonfarmersmarket #supportlocal #eatlocal #localfood #growfood #smallfarm #regenerativeagriculture

11.01.2022 It was so so lovely to run a full market stall last weekend at the Alphington Farmers' Market. Thank you to everyone who came by. We hope to see you all again this Sunday! This weekend will be setup in the same way as last weekend and both veggies and flowers will be available until they sell out. For our Alphington friends, you can still grab your veggie boxes online or come by the stall and purchase them directly. We plan to keep this setup going for the foreseeable future and will of course be communicating any changes via our socials. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions. 08.01.2022 So so proud, and so unbelievably excited for these two young farmers. Nicola spent 6 month with us sharpening her skills and now she is back in her family farm creating change and feeding her community @middle_sisterfarm There is nothing more heart warming and inspiring than watching her take her first strong steps as a farmer and business woman. Keep an eye on this power house. So proud of you Nic-nak
