22.01.2022 Wow - that was only 2.5 hours with the kids back and I'm exhausted First we had the smiles, the best hugs EVER, the cuddles, the stories and the laughing. Then we got the emotions! The big emotions of not seeing Mum and Dad for 4 days. We got the tears, the screaming, even the punching and kicking. How so much changed in half hour. But we moved through it, we let them feel what they were feeling and go through the emotions. Thank you again @_shelleyclarke_ and Parenting by Connection. Without this course we would have parented a very different way and it would not have ended well. It was tiring and the quiet and restfulness of the last few days feels like a distant memory but we have our girls home and I am grateful they are here safe and sound
21.01.2022 Tea Tree - an oil from mother nature that's been used for years but our Mums, Grandma's and Great Grandma's. Do you have another product in your home that can do so many things. This is how I've used it this week: - Diluted with coconut oil (as a roller) and rubbed around Savannah's ears to take away her ear discomfort. - Applied to an ulcer in my mouth that then disappeared within 24 hours. - Put on a split nail bed which took away the pain and healed it within days.... - A drop on a pimple that I should not be getting at my age but again it didn't develop any further. - A drop in my shampoo to give my scalp a good cleanse. - Added to a spray bottle of water and vinegar to use as a natural surface spray. 19.01.2022 To see this melts my heart We had a visit this morning with her Great Grandparents who we hadn't seen for a while and when it was time to go our little 3 year old just didn't want to leave. "I just want Great Gran" she said. I told her I was sorry she was sad and was there anything I could do? "Can I have my blue oil please Mummy?" So here she is holding her Peace roller, our reassuring blend. To know that she can use this or even just hold onto it and it helps with the emotions she is feeling but doesn't yet understand, makes me feel like as a Mum I'm doing something right. I feel empowered and thankful I have these little bottles. How do you feel?

08.01.2022 This was me this morning about to leave for work. It was quiet and I did nothing but get myself ready. No yelling to "get your shoes on" or "grab your bag" or "get in the car". You see our kids are on a little holiday with their grandparents. Three nights of bliss, quietness and doing whatever we want. Yet my husband and I feel so lost. What on earth did we do with all our time before we had kids? We were soooooo busy. Now we don't know what to do and it's only 6pm!! Why is ...it that we scream out for a moment to ourselves, for quiet time to hear ourselves think and when we get it we miss our little cherubs even more. Well I'm hoping I'm not alone with these thoughts. Let me know how you feel when this happens. For now I'm going to concentrate on getting a full nights sleep, take in the peaceful car rides and try to enjoy the calm before the storm when they return

08.01.2022 Well we've had an awesome day today going to the Fun Fair but with fun always comes tummy pains. Too many lollies and slushy drinks its time to bring out Digestzen. 04.01.2022 This little red door puts a smile on my face, makes me feel relaxed and reminds me of something I used to do. But I have not been here for over 12 months. Why? I don't have time That money needs to be spent on other things I don't have time... It's not a priority at the moment I don't have time You get it right? Hands up Mums who don't prioritise their own self-care Well yesterday I went for a massage. I've been suffering with a bad neck for a while and in the last few days it's got worse. I was told my neck was like cement and I needed a massage to loosen it up before it could be treated any further. My first thought of course was "I don't have time" but I made time. I even cancelled my 3 year olds swimming lesson for the week (more Mum guilt) and had to call in a favour from a bestie to babysit but I made it happen. Let me tell you I walked out wondering why I had waited so long to do that. So please remember Mumma's that self care is important. Do whatever you can to make it happen and don't put it off because we can't care for others if we don't care for ourselves. What do you do for self-care?

01.01.2022 Switching off from technology, has anyone done this? Well we are heading away for Easter and the place we are going has no phone reception. Part of me is so excited by this yet another part feels a little anxious. Why? Is it because I feel like I might miss out on something? But miss out on what exactly? Miss out on seeing what other people are doing for Easter when my Easter is right in front of me? Or is it the feeling of "keeping up with the Joneses". That I'm not a good e...nough Mum if I don't share my photos of our adventure over the 4 days or my kids waking up Easter morning. But why can't I just do this when I get home? I feel like we have our head down so much scrolling that sometimes life is right in front of us and we are missing it. For me Easter is a time for family and of course - chocolate. So I'm going to do my best, to not connect to the WiFi, to stop scrolling and be in the moment. My wish for you is to do the same. By no means am I saying to turn your phone off but enjoy your time with your family and be present. I don't know about you but for me, life is going too damn fast.
