24.01.2022 Who doesn’t enjoy a glass of wine in the evening after a hard day? I know sometimes the first chance I get to scroll through social media is right before bed. If you are finding that you are struggling with sleep (and it is not because children are waking you) these simple tips might help as a reminder of a few things that may need to be tweaked in your daily routine.

24.01.2022 Try and read this without a tear or two forming.

24.01.2022 Our Autistic mentors and mentees know what it feels like to navigate the school day as an Autistic student. Here, they share some of their insights and advice for parents & carers. It is so valuable to learn from those with lived experience.

22.01.2022 With 4 kids at home and nowhere to go or people to catch up with (and NBN dropping in and out) I wrote a list of others ways they could entertain themselves. I thought I would share them with you.

21.01.2022 I can totally relate to this at the moment. I need more hours in my day so I can get everything I need to done including more sleep. I sometimes wish I could just break down and cry or throw a tantrum

21.01.2022 Today I would like to celebrate my mum. It is her 70th birthday and a milestone we never thought she would reach. She has been battling cancer for 13 years and is currently in hospital with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Her positivity, determination and faith that has seen her survive many times when we thought she would not. I am so incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful mum and role model for this motherhood journey.

20.01.2022 Christmas time can be magical but it can also be a tough time for people who have lost someone dear to them.

18.01.2022 Nothing to do with Motherhood but very mesmerising.

17.01.2022 Why is it that some people can get so much done in a week while others barely manage to stay afloat? We all have the exact same amount of hours in a week. How do you spend yours? How many hours is taken up with caring for others? Preparing food? Doing housework? Driving? How many hours a week do you allow for yourself to truly do what you want?

17.01.2022 I have been a bit quiet lately on my page but Thursday week ago my mum lost a 13 year battle with cancer. A friend sent this poem to me and it sums up perfectly what my family and I have been going through.

17.01.2022 On the weekend I managed to find some precious time to go horse riding with a close friend. It may have had to be planned months in advance but we made it happen and it was magical .

16.01.2022 It is Mother’s Day in Australia and while for most it is a day filled with love and appreciation for some women it is an incredibly hard day. To all the single mums who are juggling young kids on their own To all the women who so desperately want to be a mum but aren’t To all the women whose precious baby/child is now in heaven... To all the women who can’t be with their children today To all the women who have their own mum’s in heaven To all the women who may have had their last Mother’s Day with their own mother It is hard to scroll through Facebook and see post after post of happy families. It is ok to be not ok today. Look after yourself and take care. Love to you all

16.01.2022 Behaviour and learning difficulties are quite often treated as separate issues in a school, however no child ever intentional goes to school to fail or get in trouble in front of their peers.

16.01.2022 Are you at a stage in your parenting journey where your children wake every 2 hours during the night? Do you have to do hours of work after the kids go to sleep? Or do you wake up early in order to be able to find some time for yourself?

15.01.2022 People often think of self care as a weekend getaway or pampering yourself but as a mother self care can be as simple as cancelling plans if life feels overwhelming. . . . #motherhood #motherhoodandyou #selfcare #selfcareformoms #selfcareformums #itsoktosayno

06.01.2022 As mothers life can be super busy. Sometimes we need to acknowledge that certain tasks aren’t high priority and be ok with that rather than making excuses for lack of time.
