25.01.2022 Do you have children aged 1-5? The Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health and The University of Queensland are conducting an online research p...roject "COVID-19 Unmasked". They are seeking parents of children aged 1-5 years to help them understand how Australian children and families are being affected during this time. The researchers intend to use this information to help caregivers, educators, and health professionals learn how to best support babies, pre-schoolers and families during disruptive events (including natural disasters) now and in the future. Can you help? Here's the link: is.gd/covid19_unmasked
24.01.2022 Thanks for posting Lucy Webber! I have read it over and over and cant get my head around it as it seems like their only possible intention is to sabotage breastfeeding. This coming from a company that is supposed to be an avid supporter of breastfeeding. The instructions given could only ever lead to more difficulties so there can be no mistaking their agenda.
24.01.2022 Thanks Maggie Dent for sharing this, such an important read for Mums and Dads
23.01.2022 Come along at 8am and see what the evidence says about sleep, feel free to ask a question or two too.

21.01.2022 Was surprised and excited to see this article featuring Ready Together in the SMH today. As the article shows, new parents are one of the groups hit hardest by the pandemic so its lovely to be able to play a small part in supporting new parents in our community.

16.01.2022 Ready Together chatting with Dr Howard Chilton about crying, colic and reflux in babies. What's normal in terms of crying. At what point do you consider getting a baby checked out or considering medication. Dr Howard Chilton: Baby on Board
16.01.2022 How are you all doing? Hope you are keeping well. I have switched over to virtual visits so let me know if I can be of assistance. Take care everyone
14.01.2022 I can certainly relate to this article. It raises a number of questions that I have been pondering the answers to... even if your little ones are still little and youre not in the school zone and your saturdays were not taken over by kids sport, it is worth a read and worth considering what we all want as we start to move to the new normal.
13.01.2022 Me, 11 years ago, feeling like a miracle making, maternal, ready to pop goddess. Id set up a colour coordinated gender neutral nursery, read books that would ...have my baby on a solid routine by 2 weeks of age, professed to my friends that this baby wasnt going to interrupt our inner city lifestyle and written down a labour plan that would see our firstborn arrive into a calm, mood lit room to meet the world. Swipe for the aftermath. 27 hours of labour, a posterior baby, lots of drugs and a forceps delivery. This pic was captured around 8am, my baby was 7 hours old. I was exhausted, shocked, confused. Four foggy months later, I was diagnosed with post natal depression. My start to motherhood was nothing like I had expected. I felt completely unprepared and overwhelmed by my new normal. I couldnt understand why nobody had told me what it would really be like. Fast forward to now, I have had 3 babies and I get it. I finally understand why nobody told me. Its impossible to convey the mammoth change and challenge that is new parenthood. Its different for everyone. The best way to prepare is through education and awareness. Baby101 is here to normalise, educate and share the realities of new parenthood to make this monumental life transition easier. Do you know someone who needs Baby101?

11.01.2022 Are you expecting a baby or have you recently had a baby? With so much uncertainty in the world due to COVID 19 and so many services for women having a baby on hold we decided we needed to do something to connect with women who need it right now. Felicity Hughes, Midwife and Lactation Consultant (Motherhood Matters) and Janine Armfield, Doula (Blossom Doula Care), and myself Genevieve Muir (Connected Parenting) have teamed up to create a facebook group https://www.facebook.c...om/readytogether This is a free page where anyone is welcome to join in order to have access to live webinars, one to one advice and online resources. Think of Ready Together as a mothers group - only better because you can get YOUR questions answered by professionals when you need it. We also have a website so please jump on to learn more about who we are. www.readytogether.com.au See more
06.01.2022 Wise words from @mombrain.therapist Its a tricky transition for women AND men entering parenthood. The majority of adults spend time working before embarking... on their parenting journey. The majority of workforces provide adult interaction, recognition for a job well done, ongoing training, annual leave, sick days and financial reward! Parenthood is a little different. The rewards are incredible but the change is huge and the adjustment can be hard. Theres no one there to pat you on the back when you nail a tough midnight settling session. Theres no bonus for exceeding your client expectations. With the right education we can smooth the path and help you and your partner prepare for whats ahead.

She is going through her biggest life change since adolescence and needs lots of love, unde...rstanding, homemade meals, sleep, coffee, soft cheese, understanding, hydration, shower time, sushi, ice packs and support Courtesy of @hellomytribe via @themidwifemumma . . . . . . . . . . . #firstbaby #babyadvice #matrescence #postnataldepletion #postnataldepression #postnatalanxiety #newbaby #newmum #newdad #babyannouncement #firsttrimester #secondtrimester #thirdtrimester #fourthtrimester #ittakesavillage #nobodytellsyou #baby101 #postpartum #motherhood #newmotherhood #makingovermotherhood #newmumma #bringcoffee
