25.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Bretts Choice)*** A huge shout out to Jenny from Grenfell. Jenny had been battling with chronic low back pain for many, many years with varying degrees of intensity. She has been an outstanding patient, following the progressive movements needed to build the mobility and endurance around her spine and we are thrilled that she is not having any low back issues anymore. She is loving the long rides on her horses and making the most of moving with confidence in her lower back. Top work Jenny. Your commitment to your rehab has been first class. Well done

23.01.2022 ***Patient of the week (Kaels Choice)*** A huge congratulations to Tony from Temora. Tony suffers occasionally from lower limb seizures/spasms and has an intellectual disability. His goals are to increase strength and balance, particularly of the core musculature and lower limb, improve proprioception and be able to effectively increase his heart rate to improve his cardiovascular and fitness levels. Tony has made important progress, especially when it comes to his bike prot...ocol, which he has now mastered successfully. It was a very proud moment for Kael to see him doing all 4 of his sprints on the bike independently, controlling his breathing and putting in the effort. He has really come a long way compared to his initial ability to do the above things. A special thanks to his support worker Wayne from Kurrajong, who has been incredibly helpful and supportive. Furthermore, Tonys coordination and ability to exercise his upper body, use dumbbells and follow instruction that are exercise related have also improved. We are looking forward to his next sessions and further improvement towards the end of the year. Well done Tony!!!! See more

20.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Kaels Choice)*** A huge shout out to Levi from Cootamundra. Levi has been a long term patient of ours, having been under the guidance of Brett, Libby and now Kael, who he has flourished with. He had an extremely good outcome following shoulder surgery, for a shoulder that was quite severely damaged and has been an absolute champion at his rehab ever since. As well as shoulder issues, other musculoskeletal issues and mental health challenges, he has al...so been able to lose around 40kg...and still is aiming to drop some more weight. This was possible due to his willpower to turn his life around and make the most of a bad situation. Not only has he successfully addressed his shoulder by completing his rehab but he also took the opportunity to further improve his health by losing weight and regularly exercising in the Ripped 24/7 - Cootamundra gym to boost his mental health. Super, super, super results Levi! We are all very proud at how far you have come and are so happy for you. Keep it up mate! See more

20.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Andreas Choice)*** A big shout out to Jennifer from Temora who has monthly sessions with us on her NDIS plan. It was great she was able to maintain her progress during the covid-19 lockdowns via sessions on telehealth too, which has allowed her to continue to progress. Her balance and functional movement patterns have improved since she has returned to face to face sessions with renewed enthusiasm. She has also managed to lose 3kgs since March...something many of us would be jealous of with a few extra covid pounds going around. Top work Jennifer! Andrea will miss you when she is on maternity leave and encourages you to keep on doing your best! Well done :)

20.01.2022 Huge shout out to all our wonderful patients, clients, athletes, locations and practitioners for continuing to do the right thing with being very mindful and considerate of others when it comes to isolating and getting tested for covid-19. As frustrating as cancellations and rescheduling treatment may be at times, keeping our communities safe is our number one priority. So well done all on being so vigilant! Lets keep working together and ensuring the number of active cases remains the same...ZERO!

18.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Bretts Choice)*** A very "special" shout out this week to Amanda from Orange. With a self-confessed addiction to exercise, pregnancy was always going to be a challenge in managing the safest exercise for both mum and bub. So far she has smashed it. She is still working on various areas of her health at the gym, often daily, and at home with all the essential core training. Most impressively to her AEP, she hasnt over done it, which was always Bretts ...fear knowing her love for movement. She has listened to him most of the time, not all the time though, as expected when your AEP doubles as your husband Keep on sticking to the plan and listening to your AEP. Only 5 weeks to go until she is predicted to debut as a mother, but from this picture, she hardly looks to have a bump at all! Looking forward to meeting the little one and we are sure all this dedication to your health will result in an easier labour (if there is such a thing) and a much quicker return to your preferred fitness levels. Super proud See more

15.01.2022 Sad/happy day @ MAM today as Andrea goes on a break to become a mum in a few weeks! She will be missed by our team, her patients and communities. SAD! She is excited for this next chapter to begin and no doubt will make a great mum. HAPPY! Kael will be covering Andreas Friday in Temora and Brett will be looking after the good people in West Wyalong, so no need to fear...we still have everyone covered! ... Andrea, on behalf of all Motioners in all our locations, all the best to you and Ned in this very exciting time and we will see you back in the clinic in the future with the added qualifications of nappy changer, nursery rhyme queen and "MUM" ! Two thumbs up for this exciting journey ahead for you!

14.01.2022 ***Joke of the Week***

12.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Kaels Choice)*** A huge shout out to Andrew from Young! He was referred to us by his GP and physio after sustaining a workplace injury that resulted in a partial tear of his bicep tendon (tendon in the upper arm). After a series of eight sessions, half of which were completed through the COVID-19 lockdown, Andrew has reduced his symptoms substantially through his rehabilitation in the NRG Fitness Centre and his home based program. He is now ready fo...r pre-injury trial duties at his workplace and was very successful in his reassessments. His strength has returned, his function is very good and we expect a full return to physical work. A great result, particularly due to the limited tools at his disposal during the COVID lockdown, which goes to show the right plan, dedication and a bit of create prescription will get you where you need to be on most occasions! Top stuff Andrew! See more

10.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Kaels Choice)*** Super proud of Amber from Cootamundra who works with us on her NDIS plan to assist with her disability, improve her function and quality of life. A great win this week as her mother informed us that she put herself to bed for the first time. This is huge! All the work on mobility and strength to get her to this level has been so worth it and her mother Sue is such a big influence on this positive result. As are the great people at Ripped 24/7 - Cootamundra where we complete most of Ambers therapy. We couldnt feel more safe at their facilities during these times...a huge credit to Emma and Ash! Well done Amber...keep smashing your goals and lighting up the gym with your smile

04.01.2022 ***Patient of the Week (Kaels Choice)*** A huge shout out to Daryl from Temora. As you can see Daryl has started using crutches again during his therapies. As seen from the picture, with good technique and support he is able to stand and walk with some assistance. Daryl does exercises religiously every day before coming to his therapies to ensure he is warmed up and ready to go. If he hadnt been doing this over the years, at this stage of his life, he would have been in a much worse position due to the nature of his very rare and aggressive condition. Daryl is one of the hardest workers we have seen in rehab, full of determination, fight and is a true inspiration to us all here at Motion as Medicine. Keep up the good fight mate!
