There is nothing worse than practising your training around distractions & all your hard work is undone by an offleash or out of control looney of a dog, with an owner who doesn't care about the damage their dog is doing to yours. Because theirs "is friendly" or they simply don't care or understand.... This is why we have introduced Group W&T so clients who have been putting in the hard work can come together & practice their skills around other trustworthy clients & dogs. 13.01.2022 Is your dog confident on different surfaces? While this might seem like a cool "trick" with Ronon that he is having fun on a moving trolley with not a care in the world. Teaching a puppy to be okay (habituated) to many different surfaces & objects from a young age will bring out their confidence, highten their ability to take on new challenges & task, work out how to over come things quicker and simply not give a crap about whats going on in its environment. ... Ive seen dogs be the exact opposite of this video, where the dog fears for its safety with just seeing a trolley move. What would you prefer?

01.01.2022 WE DONT USE TREAT TRAINING - Did our last post confuse you? Here are some further insights. The Reward Must Be Rewarding In Order For It To Work Short answer is Yes, food can hold value. The question now being is, does the food you use hold value?... Dont be fooled by what you think is rewarding, your dog may not agree with you. Reasons why the dog may not find the food rewarding: Food is plentifully - You feed them meals or to much They are full - You over feed or don't make them earn their food You have never taught them that food comes from opportunities when you are out or training - So it never crosses their mind that NOW is the time to earn their food! They'll wait till meal time when they get home & remain focused on more valuable things when out (Dogs, birds, smells, people) Your food choice is not palatable to your dog You allow your dog to be fussy & change its food frequently to get her to eat Want some tips on how to develop a food drive? Recall Muzzle Training Upkeeping Leash Manners Impulse Control (Dog Reactivity) - Hence the muzzle Luna wears a muzzle due to her reactivity. In the start, she would lose her sh!t at another dog, now she has things under control, as she couldn't care about other dogs in close proximity. She wears a muzzle due to the annoying general public that do not have respect or etiquette when it comes to their dogs. No dog should have to tolerate another dog invading its personal space, rushing upto them or jumping on them.
