Finally, sadly this week saw the passing of a true lady of motorcycling, Winifred Wells. Winifred was 21, when on 26 December 1950 she embarked on her solo and epic journey from Perth to Sydney, and back on a Royal Enfield Bullet 350. 5500 miles in 21 days. She the went on to achieve the big-lap of Australia alongside her father in 1952. Winifred died last Saturday aged 92 at Mornington Peninsular., read up on some mopre great inspirational stories on her life. Vale Winifred Wells.
