ATTENTION PLEASE READ It is with this in mind that GGRA are excited to announce that we have received approval from licensing and gambling authority to run a major raffle to help support the dreams of our motocross families and riders, Male and Female. We wanted to do this because we feel great riders are missing opportunities due to lack of funding available. Our raffle will be opening in the near future with all of you in mind. This is to support the opportunity for you to compete on the world stage. We are offering you the chance to have the experience of a lifetime, an experience that you may not otherwise ever have the opportunity to in 2020. We will run a raffle selling 250 tickets only, at $200 per ticket. All tickets must be sold. All tickets will only be able to be purchased via our online shop. Drawing of this will take place at an official venue and drawn live on social media. 20% of all proceeds will go towards GGRA Female Junior Development Team Riders to help race and compete. The remaining 80% will be allocated in prizes. 15.01.2022 ATTENTION RIDERS and FAMILIES IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please share and support to help give all a fair go APRIL 15th - 19th GGRA Lucas Oil MX Event postponed... New dates pending. Go Girl Racing Australia Inc (GGRA) GGRA is a non for profit Incorporation, where all committee members volunteer their time to run and Organize Motocross events and developmental coaching clinics. GGRA give all financial contributions and monies earned back to promote and support the growth and development of females in Motocross. Although our focus is on the recognition of females in motorsport, we fully support and provide opportunities to all riders, male and female, young and old, learner through to experienced, because we believe to grow and succeed we are all important. We believe in growing motorsport in Australia Riders, Clubs, Property owners and Promoters deserve a fair go that you all matter unlawful activity is not okay anti-competitive behaviour is not acceptable and misuse of regulatory powers must be stopped! we believe in growth and fairness To this end, it is time to make sure all motorcycle controlling bodies and government departments are held accountable for their actions this requires a review and change at all levels within the motorsport industry. It is only in a red-tape free market and industry that racing will grow and prosper. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT URGENTLY Background: Recently MNSW refused to sanction our event this year in 2020 because purportedly it conflicted with supporting AORC MA sanctioned event. It is with interest to note that at this event they have introduced a new female class and stated there would be a cross over between entrants from AORC. This meant that we had to cancel our event as MNSW refused to sanction our GGRA event - this despite allowing other events on these same dates. GGRA was forced to approach another insurer and planned to run our annual race event in April 2020 under the Australian Motorcyclist Association (AMA), at Maclean Dirt Bike Club. Unfortunately, it would appear that through ‘back door’ conversations and miss information between the MNSW, the NSW Office of Sport, certain committee members of the Maclean Dirt Bike Club and the local council, our event was sabotaged and had to be cancelled indefinitely or until these issues are reviewed and policies updated. In NSW, current legislation provides that an insurer must be currently registered with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). As many would know, the AMA has insurance that meets all the insurance standard requirements in respect of public risk liability for motorsport. Therefore, from a public risk perspective there are simply no grounds to deny GGRA to run its events in NSW. Go Girl Racing Australia Inc has been communicating and working with the NSW Office of Sport and the AMA to review current practices that afford MNSW a monopoly over who can, and who can’t, promote racing events in NSW. We are also seeking appropriate legislation or reforms within the NSW Office of Sport to ensure participants in the industry are not able to use their regulation powers to gain competitive advantage over its competitors in the market. All funds raised will support the efforts and legal costs in challenging NSW legislation, and allow organisations, clubs, promoters and coaches in NSW to operate on a level playing field.
