01.02.2022 Pulled this V7 bevel box apart to replace the seals but found this instead.

31.12.2021 So this is why we suggest you bleed the clutch fluid regularly. If you bring it to us, we do it as part of our 10K service.

25.12.2021 Yet another roller conversion. All four flat tappets showing the variable wear that one engine can display. Another one saved from self destruction.

09.12.2021 So Pete puts this on my hoist. It’s about the same vintage as me. We are both looking a bit rough around the edges, but still rolling.

02.12.2021 Funny. Months and months we never see a V85 and then two turn up for service on the same day! And before anyone starts pearl clutching it was basic service work, 20,000km on both and neither of them have suffered from dropping off footpeg or leaking inner bevelbox seals which have affected a few machines. Actually Peter's bike, (the red one) originally, before it came to us, had a leaky seal at the front of the bevelbox but it is thought that this was due to poor initial installation. Fixed, (not by us) in about half an hour. Scarcely the sort of issue to cause tearing of hair or rending of garments. NB.... awful post-industrial wasteland view from workshop

19.11.2021 Well, here we are. My last post was on March the 30th! Seems like an age ago. What has happened between then and now has, I hope, not been too harrowing for anyone. Anyway, this is a cautious announcement that we are sticking our toe back in the water. Once again we have opened the door a crack and will, very gingerly, begin welcoming people’s bikes in for work.... A couple of things though. Please understand and respect that both Michael and I have health issues that mean that contracting Covid 19 would be very bad news for either of us. So, please, if you're feeling a bit off colour? Don't bring your bike up and spray us with your loathsome microbes! Also, parts are still an issue. I currently have four rollerisation kits on order with no tangible delivery time. Also even ‘available’ parts are taking up to ten weeks to arrive from Europe, and Mandello, being Bat Flu Central in Italy, is only just beginning to reopen, so although we will try our best to facilitate repairs, if there are delays they are delays universal in the supply chain. Thanks for your patience. Meanwhile..... we’ve been cleaning out the workshop. Long overdue and surprisingly these did not improve with age!

03.11.2021 My apologies to Bindi. We left out one of our key employees who is also working from home.

24.10.2021 Dear valued customers, (Which always sounds stomach turningly insincere!) this is just a quick note to let people know that due to the current Covid 19 epidemic and its potential consequences, our workshop is having to close down for the duration of the current unpleasantness. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, especially for those who were hoping to book their bikes in for major work like Rollerisations but unfortunately both Michael and I are both in the ...'High Risk' category when it comes to potential life threatening danger from this disease and we simply cannot risk the danger of potential infection. There is also the problem of parts acquisition as many parts of the international supply chain from Europe have been seriously interrupted. We do, at the moment, still have stock of most consumables like gaskets and filters and will, as far as possible, continue to supply parts as needed but our work is principally workshop based so our stocks are not inexhaustible. Anyway we are still more than happy to be contacted by phone concerning problems people may be having and hopefully the embuggerance of this rotten epidemic will find a resolution sooner rather than later. We will, of course, inform you as soon as we feel able to throw the shutters up again and recommence business. Until then? Stay safe, observe the hygiene rules and look out for everybody else, not just your nearest and dearest as we are all in this together.

15.10.2021 I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to go there.

30.09.2021 Must have been built late on a Friday afternoon.

24.09.2021 ‘Houston, we have a problem.’
