24.01.2022 more rainbows on my way to work

20.01.2022 Sunrise on my way to work this morning...about 5.30am at Alex Beach. The electric scooter takes me places the car can't go.

09.01.2022 Scottie, James and myself did the 6.2km hike to Baxter Falls near Flaxton this morning, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We parked at the easy to spot parking area off Flaxton Mill Road. There are a few green signs to let you know you're there. Scottie was in thongs (oops) and I kicked the cat scratch post this morning and had a few very sore toes on my right foot, but we did it easily. I'd rate it as moderate : getting there is downhill for just over an hour, then return is steep... in a few places but also took a bit over an hour. Scenery is beautiful and changes from fern or bracken to rocky outcrops and open eucalypt forest. The track is well maintained. Falls were flowing well seeing we had rain recently. A few march flies but no leeches. Lots of mushrooms and interesting bits and pieces. We had a swim, walked across the suspension bridge then walked back to the car. There was no one else at the Falls at 9.30am but we passed a few when we were heading out. I'd highly recommended this one at the moment with water flowing. See more
