19.01.2022 For those mountain bikers sick of waiting for the SA border to open, have a look at this. https://otwayodyssey.rapidascent.com.au/ Your next awesome MTB away trip, the 2021 Otway Odyssey is coming up on Feb.20th. The Odyssey has several events suited to all levels in some of the best trails Victoria has to offer. Just ask some of the CMMBC members who have competed here in previous years. Jeremy R has set up a FB messenger group for those planning on going to help arrange... training, travel, logistics etc. Start your fitness training now, you wont regret it. See more

14.01.2022 This may be old news to some, but I have just discovered ProBikeGarage. It's an app that syncs with your Strava account and tracks the maintenance intervals and service history of individual bike components. It provides alerts when scheduled maintenance is due based on distance or hours. Looks handy. I may be a little overdue for a suspension service!!

13.01.2022 Just had confirmation from a local who lives at the east corner of the track, had 20mm of rain and is very muddy, too muddy to walk let alone ride. Might be okay by next weekend. Riders, after the recent rain, please give our track a couple days to dry out and to help it avoid being cut up too much by bike tyres. Might need to stick to more groomed river tails.

11.01.2022 A new challenge track has been set by BJ this time. Distance is 6.35km. You have the next 2 weekends and the intervening days to get to the track and set your best time! https://www.strava.com/segments/26282952... With this challange track there are two additional tasks: The first is to take a selfie with the Galah cross sulphur crested cocky. The second Is to name three brands of bike frame abandoned along the Bike Graveyard section of track. As with the last challange, post a selfie on our FB page with your elapsed time or a link to your Strava. Good luck!

10.01.2022 Time to get the right helmet to match your bike colours!

05.01.2022 The 1st track for our Trail Back Challenge Series will be open to Race from Sunday 18th October to 12 noon Sunday 1st November. The Start / Finish for the Marked track is at the trailhead. Begin and end your timed laps from this point. This fortnight the set track is about 4km long. No trail forks have been blocked for the normal short or long track. Just very clear arrows directing riders to challenge track Track direction is normal (anti-clockwise). Turns o...ff the main tracks before the tip and then turns off again before Lenny’s Logs. Challenge question to go with it. ‘Of the km marker posts 0-10, How many do you pass during this challenge lap (including the 0km marker post only once)? Always ride a warm-up lap to ensure the track is clear, to familiarise yourself with all features and obstacles and to see who else is out riding. Please ride only in the marked direction as a matter of safety! Remember to take a picture of your bike out at the track and post it with your time here on FB. Dates and times will be collated & posted after the end of event . If you think you have solved the challenge question then send you answer in a private message to @Damien Gibson. First correct answer gets extra points. See more

04.01.2022 Anyone know this bike...contact Mildura Police.

02.01.2022 A few very happy wearers of our bright new club jersey, except for that grumpy lookin' stranger on the bottom right.

02.01.2022 Does anyone have a Coomy track condition report to share? After all the rain we've had I think i'll wait until Tuesday before going out for a look & ride.

01.01.2022 The Trail Back Series. Coomealla-Mildura Mountainless Bike Club will be encouraging riders to get out to Coomie Mountain Bike Park regularly and build up their riding condition over the next few weeks. Every two weeks a progressively longer track will be set up for you to work on your skills and fitness. You will have approximately a ten day period to make your way out and complete as many laps as you like on the marked track.... Take a picture of your bike out at the track (with yourself also if you like) and post it with your best lap times on Mountainless Bike Club Facebook Page or directly message them to Damien or BJ. If you use Strava you can link to your track-log. Take a friend for motivation and safety and they will also get to enjoy the ride and benefits. Please stay Covid Safe. The goal of this event is to get the club back to riding, just not all at the same time in the same place. Results for each time period will be collated and posted on Facebook so you can see who else rides as hard as you, if anyone. Be on the lookout for other challenges to complete while you are out there riding. For example, between what km markers on the long track will you see a drone stuck in a tree? Details of the first challenge will be published here soon! See more
