22.01.2022 This episode of Turning the Goldfields Green highlights the great work MASG committee member and local farmer Deane Belfield has been doing to foster regenerative agriculture in our region.

19.01.2022 MASG's very own Terry White posed an important question to our local candidates at a recent Q&A. Tune it at the 50min mark to hear his question about where the candidates stand on the issue of climate. They all have a chance to reply - so stay tuned for about 20min to hear them all. Our council has taken some strong steps towards a safer climate future recently. Please vote for those you think will help keep that momentum going.... All voting is by post this year thanks to Covid, so please make sure you return your form by the 23rd of October. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzzx7rYLwiI

13.01.2022 Last chance to fill out the household energy use survey! We had a great response last time we did a call out, but we still need about 100 more responses. If you have about 15 minutes to spare and a power bill handy please help out. We are looking for all sorts of households, whether you own the place or are renting, whether you are mains connected or off-grid. We want to hear from you!... The information will be a huge help in understand how our local households consume energy and will help us formulate our zero net emissions (Z-NET) plan for our shire. An simple way to contribute to a healthier future. If your household has not already done it, please click the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MAS_Z-NET

10.01.2022 We are moving office! Come and see what you could pick up from our office sale this Sunday. Grab a coffee from Cream Town next door. Some furniture, some office equipment, some miscellaneous goods. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our new space at Community House in a week or two!

08.01.2022 FYI - MASG's 2020 AGM is tonight! 7.30pm via zoom To attend you have to RSVP to [email protected] by 5pm today. You will then be sent a link to join the meeting tonight. ... You do not have to be a member to attend the AGM, but you do have to be a paid member to vote. Please note the following: All relevant documents, including the annual report, can be found at http://masg.org.au/home/agm-2020/ After the AGM formalities, there will be a presentation by Peter Brain on the Costs of Climate Change and the benefits of mitigation for a typical Mount Alexander Shire household. This should be very interesting. Hoping to see you at the meeting.

07.01.2022 MASG is part of a local movement towards regenerative agriculture. It is beyond time for these practices to become mainstream.

04.01.2022 Call him and let them know that you are opposed to a gas lead recovery, or any new gas! I just did and had a very simple and courteous conversation with his secretary.

02.01.2022 We need 350 more homes in Mount Alexander Shire to fill in the household survey this week! Please share this post! Our community collaboration to plan together and help our shire reach zero-net emissions (Z-NET) needs your help to collect data. Can you help us by filling out the household survey linked here in the next few days? It will take around 15 minutes and we need at least 700 homes to make the effort and are only halfway there at the moment. It will contribute to a really important set of data that helps us understand where we are right now and how we can improve our collective energy usage at a household level. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MAS_Z-NET

02.01.2022 This film looks amazing and sounds like a great way to get sustainability into the education system. Featuring some of our local student strikers!
