23.01.2022 Aqua Learn to Swim lessons are immediately cancelled until further notice In response to directions from the Australian Government, Blacktown City Council is cancelling or postponing all non-essential gatherings, events and meetings that come under its control until further notice. Aqua Learn to Swim classes are cancelled, with immediate effect for the remainder of the term. Please note that credits will be issued for all cancelled lessons. Reenrolments are still open for te...rm 2. We apologise for any inconvenience, your safety is our number one priority. Blacktown City Council has a duty of care to protect the health and wellbeing of residents and staff in response to the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. 23.01.2022 Rooty Hill RSL Youth Swimming Club is inviting parents to register their children for the 2020/2021 season at Mt Druitt Swimming Centre on Tuesday 13 October 2020! The first day of training will also commence on this day at 4.30pm. Parents will need book in.

Aquatic staff raise over $8,500 for Starlight Childrens Foundation We are very proud of our Aquatic and Leisure Centre staff who took on the Starlight Super Swim challenge in February. The Starlight Super Swim is a 30-day challenge to support sick children and their families by raising funds for the Starlight Childrens Foundation. 17.01.2022 Blacktown City Councils aquatic and leisure centres suspend a number of facilities and programs until further notice In response to directions from the Australian Government, Blacktown City Council is cancelling or postponing all non-essential gatherings, events and meetings that come under its control until further notice. The following centres are closed for recreational use:... Blacktown Aquatic Centre Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton. Mount Druitt Swimming Centre Riverstone Swimming Centre This includes the following: Recreational pools including free form and wave pools Warm water therapy pools Spa, sauna and steam room Aqua Learn to Swim lessons Gyms Group exercise classes including Aquarobics Creche Kidz Blitz school holiday programs and birthday parties Lap pools (25 metre and 50 metre) will remain open for groups such as swimming clubs. There is no current evidence that the virus will survive in well managed and maintained pools chlorinated in accordance with Australian Standards and guideline. People should minimise time spent out of the pool. Social distancing and protective measures apply in all areas of the facility environment including change rooms, in and out of the pool. Please shower with soap before attending the facility. Tennis courts, indoor stadiums and Blacktown International Sportspark Athletics Centre will remain open for individual activities. Blacktown City Council will offer a refund of all fees and charges for any cancellations (voluntary and mandatory) due to COVID-19. We will closely monitor the situation and provide updates. Jordyn has been consistent, has not missed a lesson and she puts in all her effort in swimming activities with a massive smile on her face from the beginning of the lesson to the end. She has improved her skill from Barracuda to Otter and she can already perform her back stroke arms. Jordyn wants to improve her skills and knowledge in the water as a swimmer. Great work!
