23.01.2022 The Mount Isa City Library has reopened. The library will be open from 9.30am - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. In accordance with state government guidelines, library patrons will be limited to 8 people and the four square metre rule will be applied.... There will be access to loans and returns services, internet, computers, photocopying and printing services. For the safety of staff, hand sanitizers will be in place at the front counter, on the computers and at the entrance. Staff and patrons will also be asked to maintain physical distancing. The public toilets will not be available.

Only 3 computers will be available, for 45 minutes per day. Seating arrangements will not be provided. Our Library events and programs have been postponed, until further notice. 02.01.2022 Extended hours at the Mount Isa City Library Don't forget - the City Library's opening hours will be extended to 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, as of... next Monday! This is in line with the recent introduction of Stage 3 of Queensland's COVID-19 Recovery Roadmap. The entire main floor of the Library, including the children's area, will be open as of July 13. However, programs such as Storytime and the Toy Library will not be running at the present time. If you are a Library member, don't forget that you can quickly and easily reserve a book online and pick it up in person at the Library. Or you can use the facility's in-house catalogue computer to search for a book, and one of the friendly team members will collect it for you. Please note that there will be a 45-minute time limit for the use of the Library's public computers as of next Monday.
