25.01.2022 These beauties were the last fruit to come off the vineyard today. The sunny Autumn days have let the Graciano fruit hang out for as long as it could to ripen. Usually picked by Anzac Day, just a few extra days this vintage. Thanks to Leo and Pete for all your work in the vineyard #v21 #canberrawines #canberravineyard #graciano #v21 #mountmajura #lateripeningvarietal #handpicked #singlevineyard

17.01.2022 Have you tasted any 2020s yet? We don’t normally rush to get wines bottled, but with the crop unusually small in our pinot gris vines last year, we’ve been out of our most popular wine. So yes, the 2020 was fast-tracked a little and is now bottled and released. This is one of the two wines we’ve made this year with bought-in grapes, so it’s labelled slightly differently Mount Majura rather than Mount Majura Vineyard. We’re rather pleased how it has turned out, but there are no plans to do this again Mount Majura Vineyard is definitely sticking to its single-vineyard identity! Fitting in with the times, we would like to invite you to a live virtual tasting of the new Pinot Gris at 6pm on Thursday 21 May. We’ll tell you a bit about the wine and how it was made, answer your questions and discuss it with you.

17.01.2022 Bottling day for the 2020 Mount Majura Pinot Gris from Bendigo VIC. After terrible smoke taint hitting our vineyard, friends have helped us to source Pinot Gris fruit from Victoria. Wine to be released soon. #comingsoon #pinotgris

11.01.2022 We are open for all your tractor taking photo needs, oh and wine tastings of course. 10.01.2022 Frank talks about Riesling in the winery as well as some early shots of our Pinot Gris. Our vintage 2020 wines are for the first time not from our site due to the smoke taint. However we have had a great time making wine from both Bendigo and Tasmania. Riesling is still in the winery but the Pinot Gris is in bottle and ready to be enjoyed! You can grab a bottle online with free shipping and Frank will be live to talk through the wine on Thursday the 21st May at 6pm. Would love for you to join us to hear the story of not only how these wines are made but how they came about. Grab a bottle here and join us with a glass https://www.mountmajura.com.au/product/pinot-gris/

09.01.2022 Tasmanian wine reviewer Mark Smith asked for a bottle of our 2020 Riesling to review as the wine is from the Tamar Valley in Tasmania. This due to the bushfires here and not having our own fruit to make wine with. We are so pleased he loved it as much as we do. Tasmanian Times; 2020 Mount Majura Tasmania Riesling $29 Smoke taint from errant bushfires is always a concern for wine producers. When Canberra’s Mount Majura lost its Riesling crop in the fires of 2020, the company ...moved quickly to purchase a substitute harvest. The outcome was this delicious youngster, crafted from top-notch Tamar Valley Riesling, grown at Chartley Estate and Waterton Hall. Bright and pale in the glass, there’s no mistaking the variety. It’s limes and lemons all the way, with a touch of regional minerality to boot. Crisp acidity makes it a welcome addition to freshly shucked oysters, Tasmanian, of course. https://www.mountmajura.com.au/product/riesling/

07.01.2022 Justine, Leo and Pete cap off the pruning for the year. Bring on #V21. "It's gonna be a ripper!" #canberrawines
