22.01.2022 Ascension Meditation is a very easy, practical, simple way to begin the journey to your inner worlds. We are blessed in the South West to have a group of exceptionally supportive and loving ladies whose mission in life is to bring peace to more people's lives by helping them develop a meditation practice. I have enjoyed learning the first sphere - and just creating time and space to reflect, away from all distractions. The next course is in Nannup Oct 30th Weekend. I highly recommend the teachers, the support and the ascension practice, especially for those attempting to navigate this world in any type of pain - be it emotional, mental or physical.

06.01.2022 Speaking today at the SouthWest Wellness Symposium on the topic of Mindfulness, and the role of movement. A great Collaboration of Health Practitioners brought together by Sarah Moore (Busselton GP) and her dynamic colleagues. Shannon Harvey - Producer of " My year Living Mindfully" - spoke about her 3 year Research documentary on the topic and then my fellow panelists and I chimed in with our own thoughts. My Key thoughts - 1. The word "mindfulness" itself has become so o...ver-used, that the mere mention of it makes me want to vomit. However - that should not detract from the importance of the practice. 2. I would like to see the word "Heartfullness" replace it. I believe we are all too much in our heads, and need to get more into our Hearts. 3. Mindfulness is like Dancing. There are many ways to do it, and if the outcome afterwards, is that you feel relief, then it has been a useful exercise. 4. If we are understanding that Mindfullness is a tool to help us become more aware, so that ultimately, we can FEEL better in this world, then we must equally celebrate and prioritise small daily practices like - smelling a coffee, watching a sunset, hugging a child. I walked away feeling that the South West is in GREAT hands when it comes to your Healthcare. We have amazing GP's, Psychs, nutritionists, yoga teachers, etc. I feel BLESSED to live in our great region.
