23.01.2022 Last year when Jerry had to be sedated to get a vet check. He was so scared that he would bite everyone. One year on and he went to the vet without any sedation required apart from a thunder jacket to help him feel safe. He even snuggled in to Shaz for comfort. Meloxicam has been prescribed for his arthritis and we continue with Lovan for his anxiety. Who's a good boy then

22.01.2022 5 years ago today at 4.35am my sweetest Timmy crossed to the bridge in my arms - he was warm with a tummy full of tucker and there were no signs it was his last day. He went peacefully and that’s all you can ask for. It was his time. He left us with cherished memories of a strong, free spirited fighter who was loved beyond words. ... 20.01.2022 RAINBOW BRIDGE REMEMBERANCE DAY 28th August The death of a beloved pet, whether its the family dog, a furry kitty, or something a little more obscure, is a sad occasion. Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day on August 28 is the day that we remember the pets that are no longer with us.... Whilst the pain of losing a pet somewhat heals over time, they are never forgotten and today is their day. The day was founded by author Deborah Barnes as a way for people to share their memories of the pets that they have lost, whether its a dog, a hamster or a snake.

20.01.2022 Tonight we light a candle for beautiful Lucy Lou Lucy was an MP bubba September-December 2015 - the MP pack raised money for her to have cataract surgery. She was loved and nurtured by her foster family who on 1.1.16 officially adopted her. Her family adored her and cared for her like a diamond. ... Lucy was full of spunk, adventure and had a heart of gold. I will always remember her living at the farm for a short period of time and escaping through the back fence. I could never work out how a blind dog did that! Such a little rascal. We hold precious memories bubba girl and we send our love to Michelle, Kevin and Erin and thank them for giving Lucy such a loving and caring home. Run free sweet one. Always and Forever

16.01.2022 Our dearest Safie was very flat today, not herself and had a small collapse. Off to the vet she went - full examination on our sweet 16. (She was booked in this Saturday for her wellness check!) Nothing evident in her examination, so a full blood panel was taken. We will wait for the results on Thursday. ... Our bubba girl was a star at the vet Such a sweet girl.

Betsys first tumor that was removed 5 weeks ago has regrown The vets did not operate on her remaining tumors today, we have sent pathology off to see exactly what we are dealing with. ... 14.01.2022 Rehabilitation Dog rehabilitation and alternative therapies is something that has been high on my list for our dogs after surgery, with ageing conditions, health conditions and for general well being. Of recent times Louie has been receiving massage and laser therapy with Michelle from... k9 dynamics and needle acupuncture and Loop therapy with Pin @ Adelaide dog mobility and rehabilitation for his IVDD. Since we have added the Loop treatment we have seen good improvement in Louies movement. The Assisi Loop provides targeted pulsed electromagnetic field technology to treat pain, inflammation and separation anxiety in pets. Michelle and Pin have been wonderful in providing Louie with a care and treatment plan. Please always consider alternative therapies and do research, there are many wonderful practitioners out there that sometimes your vet doesnt know about. .

12.01.2022 We missed these bubbas birthdays back in June Safie is sweet 16 and Heath the big 12 Safies results came back with mild pancreatitis and pre-renal. So we have started a new diet for bubba girl. Her urine was clear. ... Heath had his blood panel done today with results in next week. His urine was clear too. Both have cartrophen injections for their arthritis and we have started Gabapentin too. These 2 are the sweetest pair #mpalwaysandforeversanctuarydogs

01.01.2022 Before you get that cute, full of life, puppy, imagine yourself 10+ years from now. If your vision doesnt involve throwing on a swimsuit to get in bathtub with your senior citizen dog because shes having a bad day and scared, dont do it. If you cant imagine cleaning up after them while theyre sick, dont do it.... If you laugh at the thought of a person cooking meals JUST to make their fur child eat, dont do it. If you wouldnt stay up all night, just to make sure theyre still breathing and have all they need, dont do it. If you cant fathom the decision Ill have to make soon, dont do it. She wasnt always this grumpy old lady with demands. 12 years ago, she was a puppy and I was in high school. She was hyper, healthy, and full of life. It wasnt always like this.
