22.01.2022 It was all hands on deck this morning with this tricky removal. The tree suffered catastrophic limb failure due to previous poor pruning from another tree company so MPK were called in to completely remove it. Next week we will stump grind the stump then repave the area for our client. Our boys did a great job and we are proud to have such a great bunch of skilled professionals. Well done Dean, Justin, Bailey and Cooper

21.01.2022 ** Fun Fact ** Did you know the Managing Director of MPK tree Services was involved in The ENDEAVOUR build project in Fremantle? .... In the early days Michael and his Dad were sought out by the Australian National Maritime Museum to supply specific timbers during the construction phases. Below is a brief description of their story. ... The HM BARK ENDEAVOUR was a unique project ... the like of which will probably never happen again. It is a story of blind ignorance as to the task that was to be taken on, the unique team that somehow came together to complete the project, the amazing amount of sheer good luck we had on the way and the way that the ship has far out-performed our expectations on many different levels. The Endeavour replica was assembled using traditional shipbuilding methods and materials where possible, although some changes were made to meet modern safety standards and enhance the longevity of the replica. The vessel's hull is built from jarrah, with Oregon pine also used above the waterline: although oak and elm were used in the original ship, the decision was made not to use these as they were more susceptible to rotting. Although some of the wood was fresh-cut by Michael and his dad, much of it was salvaged from demolished buildings and bridges or taken from trees felled during construction work or storms. Most of the "20th century" equipment, including the diesel engines, a powered galley, and navigational equipment, is sited in what was the hold on the original Endeavour, keeping the upper decks in their 18th century condition.

17.01.2022 It was smiles all round at lunch time today for one of our clients. This Bifurcated 'Narrow Leaf Willow Peppermint' had what is called 'included bark' at the junction of the bifurcation where the tree forces the two trunks of itself apart and was recommended for removal so we dismantled it and turned it in to a nature play for the kids. I'm not sure who had more fun, Dean the Arborist carving out features or the kids playing on it. Thanks Dean. You did a fantastic job mate and thanks to the rest of the team for their awesome efforts also. Even tho the tree was removed, it still has a place in the school for many many more years to come.

13.01.2022 Preserving our communitys trees is one of the primary mission statements at MPK Tree Services. We have placed great emphasis on studying the causes of tree failure and working to prevent collapse. In the below pictures, MPK was contracted to do remedial/corrective work after another tree services company had conducted a very poor pruning process called "Lions Tailing" Lions-tailing is over-pruning a tree by removing a large number of inner branches. The tree limbs will ap...pear long and slender with a puff of foliage at the end like a lions tail. Lions-tailing can increase the risk of branch failure by weakening the tree root and eliminating the dampening effect that interior limbs provide when branches move during storms and high winds. We conducted a Tip prune and a honkey nut reduction as well as cable bracing to counteract the over pruning previously conducted by the other company. MPK Tree Services believes in preserving the longevity of the trees that share our world. We strive to do everything we can to educate the public in caring for their trees and enable homeowners, businesses as well as Local Governments to make an informed decision about their landscaping.

13.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL - Congratulations and thank you to the Shire of Mundaring You sent MIchael and his team from MPK Tree Services to our home at 20 Grenville Road Stoneville to assist with the cleanup after the recent devastating fires. Michael took the time to explain to us the various dangers of fire damaged trees and why they should be removed for safety reasons . I explained to Michael that we moved to Stoneville to be around trees and nature, so he was sympathetic to our reaso...ning of wanting to keep as many as possible. Unfortunately there was a lot of trees damaged and had to be removed. We cannot thank Michael and his team enough, they were polite, respectful and sympathetic to our emotions at this very traumatic time in our lives. They were obviously extremely busy and under a lot of pressure, but Michael coordinated the work brilliantly and liaised with us at all times regarding when his team would come to the property and if any heavy machinery was involved. his tree loppers obviously had a high level of expertise when felling the large trees and he always made sure they were using high safety procedures. We have lost many trees but know the ones remaining are safe and not a danger to us or our neighbours. IN summary our thanks again to the Shire and a huge thank you to MPK Tree Services, they took enormous pressure off us at this stressful time. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs tree work done or is going through a similar disaster Yours truly Jim and Rowena Of 20 Grenville Road Stoneville See more
