22.01.2022 1/5/2014 My wife and I decided to remove all evidence of Lizzy's past from her glassware. Old imprint of a "Vehicle defect Notice" or yellow Sticker was on the windscreen. Masking tape used to hold on old "P" plates. Worse of all, the free advertising of a major Bourbon/Whiskey distillery tramp stamp sticker on the rear window. All it took was 10 minutes. Using a light paint scraper, clean paper towel and acetone (nail polish remover).... Lizzy already looks better and she seems to get happier. My wife is already talking to Lizzy, and felt sorry for Lizzy's past life.

Have a laugh or be shocked at the lack of basic knowledge shown by the poor lady receiving the phone call.

07.01.2022 When I first saw "Lizzy", it was like love at first sight. I looked at her and saw what reminded me as a "battered & bruised housewife". Her previous owner was a young bloke and kept raving at how quick Lizzy is off the line. Gravel country tracks was were he was driving Lizzy. She had been thrashed most of her life. I had to rescue her. I had to fix her exhaust system up as it was leaking badly. I now drive her to take the kids to school or to go to the truck yard. Put it t...ruthfully, I drive her gently. The funny thing is, she feels like she is appreciating the change of owner. She is feeling the love of her new family. Lizzy is no supermodel now. She has he times when everyone admires her. But being battered and bruised, she was feeling very tired & unloved. She needed a family who can appreciate and respect her. She has found that here. With a bit of T.L.C, in the meantime, she will serve us well. I promised her a make over. Lizzy has responded by being reliable to us. I'll bet she can't wait for her makeover! See more

06.01.2022 Mr Car Man is pleased to announce that I will be doing another library talk. This time I'll be hosting a talk at Kelmscott Library. Saturday 25th June 2016 starting at 10.30 am. It will go for about an hour. I will be talking about car roadworthiness/safety, correct driving techniques and any other car related questions that you may have. The last few library talks were very successful and were received positively. Light refreshments will be available.
