18.01.2022 I was today years old when I learned that the iconic ‘Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book’ turned 40 this year. Since it was first published in 1980 I’m sure we have all eaten cakes inspired by the book. It was always the biggest decision we would make as kids - which cake to pick? On the flip side, how many hours have you spent as an adult the night before a birthday party engineering THE cake from the book? ‘The Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book’ is available for loan now. You can request items or browse the catalogue via our website or Libraries Vic app, Visit the library in person and browse our shelves, or contact your local library by telephone and speak with a library staff member.

05.01.2022 Now that our libraries have reopened we have started issuing notices asking for library items borrowed while our libraries were closed to be returned. If you receive a ‘First Notice’ simply return the item or items to your local library during opening hours or at any time via 24 hour returns chutes located at Mildura, Red Cliffs or Merbein Libraries. This might also be a good time to remind everyone that our libraries no longer charge fines for overdue items. If you rec...eive a bill for a ‘Long Overdue’ item or items, please don’t be concerned returning the item will remove the charge from your card. Of course if you have already returned the item or items please disregard the notice. Library users who would normally visit one of our Mobile Library Van stops please contact Mildura Library 5018 8350 for further information. For library opening hours and locations please visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/library
