21.01.2022 You may have noticed our online store hasn't been restocked since Easter. With school holidays, and now term 2 of learning-from-home for miss 6, I just don't have the capacity to make chocolate. In a way it's been good, I'm finally able to take a look at the business and make a plan to move forward. What does this mean? Well we're changing our focus and our product range will be different. I'm hoping to get started next week so gradually you'll see more products in stock online. We have a packaging project underway and we'll have a new website. Good things take time and planning, realistically we're looking at 4 months but I'm looking forward to it! My pretty notebook by @bespokepress

19.01.2022 As usual, we're having a little break after Easter. We'll be taking time over the next few days to sort out a few things like our website, our range, and our day to day operations to get us through this crazy time. We'll also be doing our bit to #supportlocal . Today was this insane breakfast taco from @the_press_shop , I could totally eat this every day #breakfastofchampions

Check my highlights for details! WHY ARE WE SELLING THEM? Don't worry, we're not going anywhere, we're just making some changes and we have no use for them anymore. See you all in about three weeks!

14.01.2022 It's now time to close our door at The Acre, temporarily, as most 'non-essential' businesses are doing in an effort to stop the spread of covid 19. (I'm aware that most of you are of the opinion that chocolate is ESSENTIAL but I'm not sure that Scomo does). We'll be open tomorrow, Saturday 4th, until 1pm and then we'll move to online only with free local delivery to Mittagong/Bowral/Moss Vale. Of course we will continue shipping nationwide. THANK YOU for your support this Easter and every other day These are challenging times, made even more complicated for a small business chocolatier by home schooling my daughter during our busiest time of the year.

11.01.2022 Little Easter Gift Bags will be available online at 7pm tonight. Please note they are for local delivery only (we won't be posting any new orders out before Easter). Gift bags contain: 1 plain chocolate flat egg, 2 chic eggs in a mystery flavour, 1 freckle egg, 1 honeycomb smash bar, 1 caramel peanut egg. Deliveries will be made to Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale this Thursday.

06.01.2022 Making CHOCOLATE COATED COFFEE BEANS was never at the top of my list but I've done it and I'm glad I did! The beans are roasted for us and chocolate coated within a week, it makes aaaaaaaaall the difference! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! All of our polished products are WITHOUT SHELLAC! Why do I mention this? Because most of the shiny confections you purchase specify "confectioners polish" or "904" in their ingredients - this is actually shellac. You may not have given this any thought until now, but look up what SHELLAC actually is

Featuring those salted caramel chocolate peanuts from yesterday + dark chocolate organic sultanas + my blend of dark milk chocolate over our honey candied almonds (with a hint of cinnamon). A shout out to my honey lady @bulwarrabees , the tastiest honey and Highlands local x.

03.01.2022 Five kilos of macadamias ready to be coated in layers, and layers, and layers of milk chocolate! These are dangerously addictive. We source our nuts directly from the farmer and they go through many steps before they're ready for you! We sort them, roast them, candy them and then they look like this , ready for the panner! Not all dragée are created equal!

02.01.2022 Do your happy dance! We're reopening on Wednesday 15th July! We've refocused, and we've refined our range. Our core range now includes Honeycomb, Honeycomb Smash, Nougat's, Brittle & Buttercrunch and our chocolate coated nuts (+ fruit and popcorn). Other products will feature as specials at different times of the year. Hope to see you in store this week for a hot chocolate and to replenish your stash
