24.01.2022 Due to new government rules regarding social distancing we have decided to suspend all club sanctioned golf competitions until further notice. The golf course, however remains available for members and others in the community for exercise provided the rules for non-essential gatherings is adhered to, that is groups of no more than two people. Please note that the Victorian Government has announced that on the spot fines apply for individuals in breach of these rules of $1600.... Note 1: Maintenance activities by our volunteers is allowed to continue as under Victorian law it is considered a workplace. We should however, for safety's sake, apply social distancing rules. Note 2: The golf club does not sanction gatherings of more than two people on our property. If anyone has any questions please call President Andrew McEnnally, 0412 244256 or Captain Peter Hertzog, 0429 024431 Regards Executive Committee Mount Beauty Golf Club

12.01.2022 Dear Members, At this time with the current Covid-19 crisis, the Mt.Beauty Golf Club must implement a number of measures to comply with the direction of the Government and Department of Health. The bar and clubhouse will be closed until further notice, the course will remain open and with the procedures below we are able to continue to run competitions at this stage.... 1. If you are unwell do not come to the golf course 2. If you have recently returned from overseas or have been in contact with a case of Covid-19 you must self isolate and cannot attend the golf course. 3. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, after going to the toilet, and after marking cards etc. 3. Maintain at least 1.5m social distancing whenever possible 3. Flagsticks should remain in place, and no handshaking, social distance maintained where possible. 4. Competitions will be run from 2 tees with staggered tee times. Only arrive 10mins before your tee time and proceed straight to tee area, please observe social distancing guidelines near the clubhouse. 5. Mark cards as usual - the requirement of signing of each others cards has been waived, please only check each others scores verbally and place cards in the box when you finish your round. The scores will be reviewed later and results advised by email. 6. Organise your own group and tee time prior to arriving at the course. 7. We will invoice monthly for competition fees, cash will not be accepted. Be sure to put your name on the competition sheet. These procedures are in line with Health Department guidelines, and if followed we should be able to continue with the golf program. Under current circumstances not everyone is comfortable being out and about, if you fit this category perhaps golf is not for you at present. Remember, golf is not a compulsory activity, to play or not to play is a personal choice. Mt.Beauty Golf Club takes this seriously and we must all contribute to stop the spread. Regards Andrew McEnnally (President) On behalf of the committee

12.01.2022 As the weather warms up we hope to see everyone enjoying the course.

08.01.2022 What better time to come and play golf, no crowds and plenty of fresh air.

05.01.2022 Spring tomorrow! We are all ready for some longer days and sunny weather. Once these restrictions lift the clubhouse will be a great spot to relax and discuss your round.

03.01.2022 A reminder to all, while we do allow the golf course to be used by the community for exercise and dog walking. Please ensure your dogs are on leash at all times. Our property is favoured by hundreds of local kangaroos which can cause damage to our greens when startled and chased by off leash dogs. Thanks to all for adhering to this request.

03.01.2022 Due to the State Government's easing of restrictions the Golf course will re-open from Wednesday 13th May. Outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people will be permitted so playing in groups of 4 will be acceptable There will be a 9 and 18 hole competition on Wednesday 13th, and an 18 hole competition on Saturday 16th Ideally play will be in groups of 4 and you will need to arrange your group and a tee time prior to arriving at the course.... We will ensure that the competition sheet is by the window. If there is no-one in attendance to take comp fees, put your money in an envelope and place in the right hand slot. Please bring correct change for your competition fees, that is, $10 for 18 holes or $7.50 for 9 holes. The clubhouse will remain closed until further notice. Green fee players are most welcome to come and enjoy a game of golf. $30 for 18 holes or $20 for 9 holes. Measures have been taken to provide a covid safe environment such as removal of the bunker rake and inserts in the holes to stop the ball falling all the way to the bottom, flag-sticks are to remain in place and should not be touched. As always if you are unwell, have any cold or flu like symptoms, or have been in contact with a known covid case please do not come to the golf course. Regular hand washing and/or sanitising is recommended and social distancing rules apply, so only one person per cart. Regards, Committee Mt Beauty Golf Club

03.01.2022 COURSE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE TO ALL 3rd April 2020... As of today, the Victorian Health Officer Brett Sutton has declared golf a restricted activity. Breaching this order can attract a $1600 fine. Our volunteers are still able to maintain the course during this time. We would ask the community to comply with directions to stay at home until these restrictions are changed. The Golf Course is private property. Regards, Executive Committee
