We also have a new item, shopping trolley handle covers, especially good if you are out shopping with little ones. And as you all know we have a large range of cakes, slices, biscuits savouries meals, preserves,and more. 17.01.2022 OK everyone.. here it is, the waiting is over. 50 years ago a couple of ladies had an idea to start a shop so our local cooks, crafters and artists had an outlet for their talent and to help raise money for our local charities. When it started they gave it 6 months.. oh boy they misjudged the overwhelming response from our fantastic customers and supporters :)

15.01.2022 Mount Gambier's Women's Work Depot today celebrated 50 years of selling handmade and homebaked goods to the community.... The depot was started by a group of... local women as an outlet to sell their craft, art and cooking, while also raising money for charity. These days the depot still sells traditional favourites such as cakes, slices, knitted clothing and doilies. President and founding member Jayleen Dowdell said it was initially expected to last less than six months. "I think everyone is looking for something grandma used to make and you'll certainly get it here because it's my grandmother's recipes that I use," she said. Having a look around the shop today and we have a good range of pressy ideas from baby gifts, quilts, beautiful lace work, plants, toys, and much much more. 09.01.2022 Well as you have most likely guessed by now we are shutting for the 6 days. So to our fantastic members, team of volunteers, customers and greater community we hope you all stay healthy and safe and see you in 6 days (fingers crossed) time when..... we will re open with a fantastic range of Christmas lines, our fabulous and most wanted cakes, slices, pastries etc . Oh just a reminder, when we do reopen it will be only (GASP) 4 weeks to Christmas. Now I know while you are home for the next week a lot of you will be planning your Christmas.
