18.01.2022 Hi, I'm Bing. I went to my first base camp when I was in first year. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but a bunch of third years peer pressured me into going so I figured I’d just go and see. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with people from my faculty and getting to know them more. It’s quite different from the weekly CU events since you can just play board games and chat with people without worrying about having to go off to your next class. One of my early CU m...emories was bonding with some people while shredding chickens (the cooked ones, not the alive ones) at Base Camp. I also enjoyed the talks and spending time reading the Bible in groups. It’s something I hadn’t done much of before, so it was an interesting experience and definitely something I felt was worthwhile. It was great to take some time out from uni and focus on reading the Bible and learning what it says about God and our relationship with him. All in all, Base Camp was pretty neat and you should all come along. -------------------- Due to COVID restrictions, this year we'll have to leave the chicken-shredding to the camp staff.
