23.01.2022 VOLUNTEER NOMINATIONS!! The 2020 volunteer nominations are open. The Combine is completely run by vols - committees, commissaires, corner marshals, people maki...ng soup. It is how this community keeps being awesome with anything left over reinvested into events. We love our vols and offer: - Vol Season Pass offering all racing for one low season price of $45 - Individual event entry of $15 (versus $30-$35 for non vols) - Discounted pricing to 3 Day Tour - Positive vibes sent to the cycling karmic universe The season starts in just a few weeks, so get in early to secure your preferred choice of events. Remember that you can nominate partners/ parents/ friends to vol for you - perhaps with the promise that you take them to lunch after. To run the fixture this year, we need 125 people to help as marshals, rego desk and follow cars. Thanking you in advance! 20.01.2022 Where did you race over the weekend Club Member steph HIbburt on the podium again at Footscray Cycling Club B-Women saw a large bunch swap consistent turns for the majority of the race, with eventual winner and first time racer Rowena Harris having the odd dig and piling on the pressure. In the end, Harris, who has a triathlon background, rode off the front and finished well ahead of second placed Stephanie Hibburt and Karla Bell in second and third, with Alana Humphries-Gray showing true grit by re-mounting and running fourth after a mid-race scrape which saw her lose a fair amount of bark.
