25.01.2022 Hi all. We just updated our 'Why we do what we do statement". It will be to the right permanently but I thought it might be useful to add it as a post MUC Youth Group exists to provide a place for young people in school years 6-11 to have fun and grow in their spirituality together. We are a passionate group of leaders who desire to see future generations know God, love God and love others as we do, and we do this by creating a space where young people can grow in their knowl...edge of God while they also grow in their relationships with each other. A typical night at MUC starts at 7pm and for 15 min everyone gets settled. At 7:15pm we come together, have some snack, drink a cup of Milo and pull out the Question Jar. The Question Jar is a jar for people that come to youth to write down their life questions. Questions like What is 1 + 1?, but others like Why are we here?, Is God real?, and Is the bible sexist?. Real questions that young people are struggling with. And we explore these questions with the group, gaining their input, expanding the question and hearing from scripture to help us understand just who God is. This time can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. We let it be led by the group. With the rest of our time till 9:30pm we have Zones set up. 8 Ball, games table, hand ball, soon table tennis, and a hang out zone for people to continue chatting. We end the night coming back together, cleaning up and a praying for everyone as they leave. This is what we do on a fortnightly basis. So will we have other types of nights I hear you ask. YES! There are other events we will run this year. We want to run a Laser Skirmish on site, a movie night, a quiz night, and perhaps at the end of the year go Ice Skating.

Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16 - Week 5 We will be leaving for Balaclava on Saturday afternoon 4pm from Malvern UC and returning from Balaklava on Sunday at 3pm. ... On the Saturday night we will be joining the Balaklava Youth Group. We will be staying in the Balaklava Uniting church hall. If you are interested in being a part of this big adventure please contact us for more information. Seats are limited.
