21.01.2022 TEAM REGISTRATION NOW OPEN 16 team main tournament NEW 8 team over 35’s section ... No virus was going to stop our favourite day of the year! With the Brisbane leagues not ending until late November however it has pushed the date back so this year’s tournament will be on December 5th. Redlands United FC will again be our hosts and although we usually switch up the charity every year we decided to give the lovely people at the Brisbane Paralympic Football Program another year as our chosen charity. After years of being asked we have decided to trial an over 35s section and will start with an 8 team tournament which we may expand next year if it’s a success. That means the main draw will reduce from 20 teams to 16 but this also means everyone will get at least one knockout game with the top 2 competing for the cup and the bottom 2 competing for world footballs biggest prize, The Eric Djemba Djemba Shield! The popularity of this tournament grows every year and we expect teams to fill up fast as usual. An opportunity for much needed game time for so many squad players, Ighalo is expected to play against his former team and it will be good to see Mata & Van de Beek hopefully pulling the strings for us. Our new uruguayan winger Pellistri was expected to get game time after impressive performances for the U23s however he has just been diagnosed with Covid so won't feature Match is live on ESPN2

02.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020 was not a year we will forget in a hurry. But in true BMUSC style we managed to find a way to make it a truly memorable one for this supporters club. Our big 10 year anniversary night was a massive success and it was great to see members old and new come together to celebrate the milestone. Our 10 year documentary is also something we are extremely proud to have got over the line this year and has been very well received across the board. Meet ups have be...en tough but we have still managed to have some great mornings/nights in the Pig 'N' Whistle Riverside, the Spurs early kick off and the Brighton 99th minute winner come to mind. Although we had to cancel our annual Munich memorial game, we rounded out the year by managing to host our 8th 5-a-side tournament and raising another $5000 for charity. Hopefully Queensland is now in a place where we can start having bigger and more frequent meet ups and it finally looks like we might actually have a squad of players that will give us something to cheer about. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to BMUSC this year, here’s to 2021
