24.01.2022 Hi all - sorry for another let down! Due to state government limitations on the ‘outside hire’ of school facilities- we can’t start youth group back up yet - we don’t have a venue to host us . We are working with our school friends on this - as soon as they are allowed to hire the space out to our youth group again, we will be back on. So sorry everybody!

23.01.2022 Just letting everyone know our livestream will start at 1pm today - Cairns Baptist Members meeting has run overtime - the delay is to allow for ‘bump-in’ and tech setup.

04.01.2022 A few more from this afternoon. The Porticoes (entry roof) facias (wall where the entryway joins the building) have been cut down. The new roof trusses will be ‘stitched in’ on the back of the trimmed wall (triangular shaped wall joined to entryway) and join up with the main roof. This deletes the infamous box-guttering entirely. The photos of the fences are the new fence ‘returns’ that go from the right/left sides of the building and join up with the council fence at Sugarworld. Both returns have wide entry gates for vehicles/mowers as needed. Still some old fence posts to remove but there is lots of progress this week!

03.01.2022 Hi everyone, Unfortunately Ryan is feeling a little under the weather at the moment and will not be able to bring us the Word this Sunday. We have decided that this would be a good opportunity to also give our sound and vision ladies and gentlemen a well deserved rest after all their hard work since COVID. Therefore, we will not be streaming a live service this weekend from Cairns Baptist Church. The following link has been provided for an excellent sermon (and series if you ...really get into it) from Matt Chandler at the Village Church in Texas. As I know you are all fans of the gospel being preached, this resource is an excellent example and hopefully an encouragement for you. Please be praying for rest and recovery for all those involved with our Sunday services and that we would be able to be back online as soon as we are able.
