25.01.2022 "Regenerative Agriculture is a system of farming principles and practices that increases biodiversity, enriches soils, improves watersheds, and enhances ecosystem services. Regenerative Agriculture Agriculture aims to capture carbon in soil and above ground biomass, reversing current global trends of atmospheric accumulation. At the same time it offers increased yields, resilience to climate instability, and higher health and vitality for both farming communities and for those who depend upon their produce."

23.01.2022 Have you heard of leaky weirs? We have several at Mulloon Creek Natural Farms as part of the Mulloon Rehydration Initiative to restore the Mulloon catchment's ecosystem function. Leaky weirs are built from natural materials such as rocks, logs, soil and vegetation which binds them together. The structures are designed to raise the water level of the stream, and to slow and filter the flow, giving it a chance to infiltrate and recharge the groundwater. 18.01.2022 FRIDAY with Mulloon Creek's Tony Coote.

17.01.2022 While taking on over 50 staff in three fields (production, research and construction) and 40,000 chooks was not how TMI Board Member Martin Royds had intended to spend 2020, we are very thankful that he did, taking on the Interim Farm Manager's role when Michael Fitzgerald left for a new role further afield. Thanks Martin! https://themullooninstitute.org//mcnf-interim-farm-manager

02.01.2022 A conversation with rangeland ecologist Richard Teague, PhD, analyzing the role that adaptive multi-paddock cattle grazing plays in sequestering carbon. "Regenerative grazing has enormous capacity to take carbon out of the air and put it in the ground while improving all the ecosystem services that come from healthy soil, particularly repairing the hydrological cycle to get more water in the soil, which improves everything." https://rodaleinstitute.org//cattle-are-part-of-the-clima/
