23.01.2022 Darryl John Halpin (14/8/1940 - 25/4/2021) It is with much sadness that I advise Darryl passed away on 25 April, 10pm, at St Andrews Nursing Home, Ballina. Darr...yl was the eldest son of Jack and Eileen Halpin and brother of Rodney, Geoffrey, Stephen and Kerry (Sam). Darryl spent his early years at Myocum, Tyaragah, Mullumbimy and Byron Bay. He attended Mullumbimby High School from 1953 to 1955 and played Rugby League for Mullumbimy, particularly, A Grade in 1960's. He worked at Norco, Byron Bay, in the printing room with Reg Wright for 9 years and was a member of the Byron Bay Surf Club. Darryl, his wife and three children, moved to Ballina in 1965 where he continued his employment in the printing trade until retirement in 1997. RIP Darryl. See more

23.01.2022 As you are aware, the NRRRL in conjunction with the Group 1 and 18 Junior Leagues are looking to host a female competition for U15s, U17s and Open Women on Frid...ays in April 16th, 23rd and 30th. Venues are to be confirmed with a couple of clubs already making contact. Clubs can apply to host with locations ideally spread around competition with the clubs that enter the most teams. Players can register as an individual and we will work with other individual nominations and or clubs who nominate to put you into a team. Clubs can contact NRRRL Secretary directly if they would like to enter whole teams. Players will still have to register individually on the link provided. The NRRRL Women and Girls Comp registration link is now live this is an additional registration to your usual clubs league tag (additional insurance requirements)

The plan is to meet upstairs at the club at 10.00am to regis...ter, catch up and have a few laughs. Then shot gun start at 11.00am. It is a 2 person Ambrose event and we can happily place you into a team upon registering if you do not have a partner. We will have a pop up BBQ and bar in the same spot as last year which will serve beers @ 3 for $10 so make sure you get some cash out before you arrive. We will also run the downstairs canteen for a few hours serving cider, spirit and snacks. There will be a raffle, hole in one and a chipping competition.
