25.01.2022 Those freckle faced smiles are & always will be the focus of my life’s work. Everything I & we do, all the hard physical work, the saying ‘yes’ to whatever yum they want from the menu (Ashers is always fresh snapper & nutrigrain, Mikeys is ), the taking time out for me to work on me, the behind the scenes planning & mapping out space for fun...it’s all for them. They don’t always play nice or appreciate all we do but I know deep down in my soul these boys of ours will know... where they belong, know they are wildly adored & loved & seen, they will know what FAMILY means & I pray will pass that down to their beloveds & so on & so on. I believe we can rewrite new foundations in life. Finding strength to tap into the depth of LOVE our Father in Heaven so freely gives, so we may see our own baggage clearly & be able to change & develop & grow, so we can then pass on HIS perfect love to them I am humbled at HIS workings in me. 19.01.2022 Anyone else LOVE using every little bit in that fridge up before shopping for all the FRESH & LUSH goodies for the week ahead?! I hear some of you scoffing, NO But for those who do look at this gorgeous lil number I just whipped up with some leftover organic chicken drumsticks from the freezer marinated in the dregs of soy sauce & sesame oil bottles, last clove of garlic, salt & some honey & mint. A quick salad with more of that leftover mint, avocado, charred lonely corn cob, quarter a red onion, last bit of feta & half a lime from the vege crisper! I bought Coles Lamb Leg Steaks & pimped them with olive oil, salt, ground paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic & lemon juice & bbq or pan fried & then rested. You can buy pre marinaded also which is super easy & just add some extra spices. One pack of Coles Gyros breads, these can be popped in the toaster to cook! Chop cucumber, tomatoes, piles of Italian flat leaf parsley & mint & lemons & pile on a pretty platter with a big scoop of hummus & natural yoghurt, I had some tabouli leftover which I added. 01.01.2022 38.5 years on earth. 4.5 of those spent knowing whose I am & who I am. My formative years where not stable. They werent laced with sweet tender & simple. They were an emotive roller coaster laced with divorce & death & depression yet amongst it all I knew I was loved as best I could be. You dont sense the damage until those 30s, when babies come & responsibility has you questioning the whys to your behaviour & actions. I crashed hard after my second babe, my poor fella ca...me into this world as my mama was leaving hers in the way that stroke takes your brains function. I didnt sleep for more than a year, I couldnt breathe deep, like ever. I was in anxious riddled pain & skinny to the bone. Knowing me then you would never have known as life was perfect right?! Ha. Why we pretend never ceases to amaze me. But when I hit my rock bottom surrounded by my gentle husband & loving boys I searched hard deep into the recesses of all that pain & loss & instability & allowed it out. I sought help. Clinical & Christian. I fought hard for those two sweet lads & that lover of mine & slowly found the healing & boundaries in which to live my life well. Im saying all this to encourage & to shed light on the why behind me living this blessed life to its full as I do. I know some may roll eyes & whisper harshness against my choices but to live free & peace filled according to my lot in life will always come at a cost. My Welshy often says baby its the price you pay to do you well. I love that man. So go ahead my sweet sisters & seek out that help you need to sift through the layers of you. It not only serves you well but it frees you & yours to be all your meant to be in this very short & wonderful life. See more
