25.01.2022 Today we were thrilled to receive a very generous $2,000 donation from Inner Wheel Nepean. The lovely ladies of Inner Wheel support so many charities in our community and this year MSFIN was selected for their yearly donation. These funds will be used to assist the Christmas gift service to ensure that no child misses out this Christmas. Thank you so very much.

24.01.2022 Feeling a tad emotional today. Maybe we are getting tired after a very tough few months at HQ. But then, there’s days like this.... We packed our MSFIN Van with all the essentials for a mum and her three young children to start over after leaving a significantly dangerous family violence situation. We are so lucky to have a van available to us to take cots, linen, high chairs, clothing, toiletries plus all the essentials for cooking, cleaning and starting over. ... Thank you MSFIN Family and for the continuous support of Dandenong Hyundai and Dandenong Mitsubishi. A reliable van has been so important in getting the aid out to families struggling through COVID. We wish the family the best of luck with their new start.

24.01.2022 Ok friends, it's time to talk Christmas gifts. As shocking as that sounds, we're only 2 months away from the big day! With Covid-19 impact this year we're projecting strong demand for Christmas support. Last year we provided gifts to roughly 3000 at risk children, and we know we will be much needed this year. Here's our selection of great value goodies. All are $10 or under, with most being $5 or under. We have loaded them in order of need. Here's the order that we struggle... with from most to least: - 14 years and up, especially boys - 9 to 14 year olds - Games for all ages - 0 to 3 year olds, especially 0-1 year - Dads - Mums - Books for all ages, especially baby board books and teen fiction - 4 to 8 year olds Please note, these are just ideas! You are welcome to donate new items suitable as gifts beyond this range. If you would like to make Christmas a little brighter for families in crisis, we'd love your support. 19.01.2022 A huge thank you to Carrum Downs and Marriott Waters Community Bank Branches who have continued to support the work of MSFIN. We were thrilled to receive a huge $5000 donation last week! Support like this is vital to keeping MSFIN going and supporting our vulnerable families. They have also graciously offered to be a drop off point for all Christmas food and gifts - making it even easier to donate this year. 15.01.2022 Our Christmas fairies were working very hard this weekend, with a couple of late night sessions preparing gifts and hampers. It is our busiest time of year. Our volunteer energy levels are low, and the demand is high... While packing and checking hampers, we came across this wonderful card. Christmas magic always happens when you need it! Reading this touching card really invigorated our Christmas fairies. Its so validating to know that we have such incredible supporters in ...our community. Thank you to the wonderful family who contributed the sensational hamper, topped off with a beautiful, anonymous message of hope. We can only imagine the comfort it will provide one of our in crisis families.

14.01.2022 Just when you think our community can't get any better..... The lovely folks from our local Zonta club have donated 50 complete toiletry hampers to help 50 of our families struggling to provide the essentials to meet their hygiene needs. These kind of donations are not only extremely generous, but the thought, care and love that went in to each hamper is not going unnoticed. Thank you!... 13.01.2022 We have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of our MSFIN community. So much so that we have had to close all incoming donations of preloved items. The warehouse is at capacity and we need to keep our team safe. At the start it was just a thought of wanting to help others to now being able to achieve this on a large scale due to our generous community. This is all due to the commitment and support of every individual and business that donates or volunteers with us. MSFIN ensures that the basics that most of us take for granted, goes directly to where it is needed via the support workers who assist these families.... 09.01.2022 Our Reverse advent calendar has been shared far and wide! We have been flooded with emails and messages from as far away as London and Northern Ireland, not to mention all around Australia. What a fantastic community we have! We were lucky enough to be able to chat to ABC NSW radio about how to get involved and inspire all of us to make a difference to vulnerable families this year.

06.01.2022 Our Christmas fairies have begun packing orders and we have already hit our first out-of-stock roadblock! We have nothing for children aged 8 and up, especially teens. Can you help? Our ideal gift formula for older kids is something to read, something for themselves (pamper items, stationery or an age appropriate toy), something to do (arts and crafts, colouring) and something to connect with others with (sports equipment or a game etc). We are also super low on: - Gifts fo...r dads - Mindful colouring - Pencils/textas/gel pens for colouring activities If you're in a position to donate an item or two our Christmas fairies would be immensely grateful!
