24.01.2022 NEW CRIA BORN THIS MORNING. A LOVELY GOLD COLOURED BOY. NICE TO SEE SOMETHING SO SWEET IN THIS CRAZY WORLD. MUM AND BABY DOING WELL.

23.01.2022 SOME OF YOU MAY REMEMBER VICTORIA ROSE (VICKY). WE USED TO TAKE HER TO THE MEADOWS EASTER FAIR WITH HER CRIA. SADLY WE LOST HER TODAY, SHE WAS 20. SHE WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH BY US BOTH.

21.01.2022 MORE SADNESS TO FINISH 2020. EROS WAS EUTHENIZED THIS AFTERNOON. VET SEEMS TO THINK HE HAD GOT HIS RIGHT FOOT CAUGHT AND WHILE WRESTING TO TRY AND FREE IT, HE HAD SCRAPES AND GOUGES ON HIS LEGS AND CHEST. THE BREAK WASN'T ABLE TO BE FIXED. HE WAS 11 YEARS OLD.

04.01.2022 OUR BLACK GIRL, PRECIOUS, PASSED AWAY TODAY. RUSHED HER TO THE VET THIS MORNING BUT SHE PASSED AWAY ON THE WAY THERE. SHE HAD ABOUT 6 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY LEFT TO BIRTH. THIS PHOTO WAS WITH HER LAST CRIA JUST BORN IN EARLY 2020. NATURE MUST BE PUNISHING US FOR SOME REASON. THEY SAY THINGS COME IN THREE'S. SHE IS OUR THIRD LOSS IN AS MANY MONTHS. HOPEFULLY OUR LAST!

03.01.2022 Thanks Jo for posting this photo. Instead of a rabbit at Easter, we were given this dear little female alpaca! Her dam, Jazz (who is all different colours) surprised us by having her a bit early. We have named her Madrigal, Maddi for short. At the moment she is a silver grey so we're waiting to see new growth colour in case it's lighter or darker, then we can register her. In 20 years this is our first very true grey female. Her sire is black. The following day, another surprise, an early cria (baby) and another little girl, solid black, still to be named. Anyone who came to the Meadows Easter Fair may have seen Mambo (2 weeks old), well she's identical to him but very black. What a fabulous Easter it was.
