23.01.2022 Hi all I hope this finds you all safe and healthy. I’m sure by now that you have all heard the news regarding pubs. We are able to trade as per normal until 12 noon tomorrow and then it will be on a takeaway basis only. We are able to provide meals and alcohol takeaway and will be offering a home delivery service between the hours of 4pm to 8pm. You will be able to pick up from the hotel as well. Phone orders for meals would be preferable but we understand this is not always convenient. Our accommodation will operate as normal with room service meals available. We will operate to normal hotel hours for takeaways. So you can pop in and see us from 10am daily.

22.01.2022 In the interest of our patrons health and safety we will be offering a selection of $10 ‘grab & go’ meals from Monday 30th March. We will of course be sourcing our ingredients locally as we have always done. Now more than ever it is important to support our local businesses and stand together as a community. A ‘grab & go’ menu will be posted Saturday to start Monday. We will still be offering our full menu on a takeaway basis only. Please feel free to phone us on 4166 5166 for orders or enquiries.

22.01.2022 Our goal is to contribute to small businesses and create new opportunities in the North Burnett Region. We also want to retain the historic significance of the tunnels and past rail line for years to come. If we can ask you to contribute to this council survey we would appreciate it. It is key to make things happen.

13.01.2022 Hi everyone Hope this finds you all safe and healthy. Just wanted to let you all know that Ray and I are on a little holiday, music festival in Winton and a little sightseeing, we’ll be gone about ten days. In the meantime the pub is in the very capable hands of Kathy who will take great care of you. The kitchen will be open Friday and Saturday night thanks to the lovely Vicki Mackay helping out. It would make life easier for Vicki and Kathy if you could book for meals...and don’t forget your masks

13.01.2022 Mungungo Pub will be closed until 12 noon tomorrow, Saturday 23rd May, so that we can pay our respects to Faysie

12.01.2022 Hi everyone We will be opening up to more patrons in venue on Friday 12th June. We have decided to delay opening until then to be sure that we are compliant with the new directives. Your health and safety are our number 1 priority and we, as publicans, have a duty of care to ensure that you are served in the safest environment possible. The social distancing rules are still very strict and we ask that you be patient with us in this respect. It is a learning curve for us all..., but it’s also a big step in the right direction As a much smaller venue we are unable to have the 20 patrons per area and still comply with social distancing regulations so we will have to ask you to continue to book your tables for dining in. Ray and I would again like to thank you all for your support through the past months, we would not have made it through without you See you soon for a coldie See more

07.01.2022 Dreaming about running a pub? Start off the new financial year in your dream job! If you're looking for a real Aussie pub to own and run, this is it! Mungungo Pub is family friendly so it’s very easy to fit in and become part of the community. If you haven’t done this before, the current lessee’s are staying local so help is just around the corner. And given its location - in the centre of a popular tourist hub - there'll be no shortage of customers coming through your door!... - Easily run by a husband and wife team - Excellent reputation for service, meals and accommodation - 1.5 hours from the coast, 12kms from Monto - Located close to tourist attractions, including Cania Gorge and Kroombit Tops National Parks - Along a proposed Rail Trail from Monto through the Dawes Range tunnels onto Calliope - Surrounding forestry trails attract 4WD and motorcycle groups to the area/pub - Freshly painted - Newly renovated private residence with ensuite - Camping area with shower & toilet block out the back Given the area, there's plenty of potential here to further boost turnover, especially by targeting the grey nomad market. This great business already has an excellent reputation and loyal clientele, so the options are endless. Located nearby is the stunning Kalpowar State Forest, which is home to a huge hoop pine plantation, and idyllic bush camping spots. Contact Keith at Town & Country Hotel Brokers on 0410 615 299 to find out more. We may consider a lease arrangement, so just ask.

05.01.2022 Olivia and I had a ball making this while learning of the significance of rosemary and poppies and the absolute importance of Anzac Day. Lest we forget.

04.01.2022 Lest we forget

02.01.2022 Hi all A little bit of light at the end of the tunnel As of Saturday 16th May we will be able to open our dining room to a maximum of 10 dine in patrons. We have decided to run this as two sittings per service ie 11:30 - 12:30 and 1 - 2 for lunch and 5:30 - 6:30 and 7 - 8 for dinner. The 30 minute gap is for us to properly clean and sanitise between sittings for your safety. At this point in time we are unable to operate the bar so we will provide table service for meals an...d drinks. As you can understand bookings are essential and as an added time saver placing your orders as you book would be appreciated. We understand that this is not always possible but it will give you more time to enjoy your meal if you can. We would like to thank you all for your patience in this...it’s not perfect but it’s a start If you have any questions regarding this please call us on 4166 5166 See more
