25.01.2022 Another great night in Cue town.. New staff new customers.

24.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all. We hope you all have a very safe and enjoyable day.

24.01.2022 WIN FOR WA Now Clive Palmer PULLOUT! My letter to the Prime Minister Dear Prime Minister,... Keep West Australian Hard Borders Closed I write to you in response to a growing concern being highlighted by many constituents across my electorate, in relation to the challenge by Mr Palmer to force the West Australian borders to be re-opened at this crucial and volatile time. In response to these concerns, I have written to Mr Palmer strongly urging him to withdraw his challenge to open the borders and support our State and many nervous Western Australians, most having already made enormous commitments and sacrifices both emotionally, physically and financially, with many suffering total financial ruin in an effort to suppress the virus and keep people alive. As you are fully aware, our priority as Australians should be to keep people safe and try to protect, nurture and manage our fragile State and National economies during this volatile and unprecedented time. It seems a general view across my electorate is that the limited number of COVID cases to date in WA could largely be attributed to both the many sacrifices people have made along with the timely and staged approach taken around travel restrictions and the management of borders within our State. While many regional tourism and small businesses are still far from operating as business as usual with many unable to secure workers restricting their ability to be able to operate at full capacity along with some supply chains still re-building and no access to interstate and international markets, there is extreme concern that another lock down will result in many being unable to re-open for a second time. The gradual and measured re-opening of WA regional borders has allowed our State economy to at least ‘breath’ again, with businesses, industries and the economy trying to re-ignite and remain afloat within a safe but diluted environment and markets. With this in mind and given the pivotal role WA industries play in keeping the National economy intact, coupled with the current precarious health situation on the East Coast and the enviable position of West Australia, there is a view that a push to prematurely re-open the borders at this point in time is not in the best interests of West Australians or the re-building of our State and Nations economic future, including Mr Palmers business interests. Most constituents are acutely aware of the fragility of the COVID situation and potential for things to change quickly with devastating consequences as seen in Victoria, and understand that at some point in the future, when the time is right, the borders will need to re-open - none more than the many businesses dependant and severely impacted by a loss of interstate and international trade. While opening the borders may well be seen by some as a short term, quick fix to help stimulate economies, it may also result in even greater economic disaster for our State and our Country, and I call on you to support and act in the best interests of all West Australian and Australian people in managing our way conservatively through these very difficult times. I strongly urge you understand and support the views of many West Australians, wanting Mr Palmer to cease his challenge to avoid an economic disaster and continue working towards re-building the economy, businesses, industries and the safety and the health and well-being of people until such time as it is deemed to be safe to lift part or all of the WA borders. I’m sure you agree that now more than ever we all need to work together as we continue to navigate a very long, challenging and difficult pathway forward. Yours sincerely, Vince Catania MLA Member for North West Central cc. Western Australian Federal Members of Parliament The Nationals WA
