24.01.2022 Great write up in the Chinchilla News regarding our 100 year celebration event on the 27th of July.

24.01.2022 The Murilla Masonic Lodge No. 265 is about to celebrate 100 years of continuous operation which is an achievement worthy of the interest and congratulations of both the Masonic Organisation, and, the people of Miles and district. An integral part of our movement involves charity; and Hand Heart Pocket (HHP) is the independent charity arm of Freemasons Queensland. HHP continues the 110 year old legacy of Masonic charity by supporting the needs of families wherever needed. Ind...eed during the long lasting drought in Queensland the HHP this year expects to donate almost half a million dollars to drought affected families and communities, bringing to almost $1.44 million over the last four years. On the 27th of July the Lodge will invite all freemasons and members of the public to a ceremony and banquet celebration of its 100th birthday at the Miles Civic Centre. The Grand Master of United Grand Lodge of Qld and members of his Grand Lodge team will be in full regalia. See more

18.01.2022 Following receipt of Grand lodge communication 14/3/20 concerning Corona Virus Pandemic, Murilla Lodge has taken the decision to postpone our March 28 proclamation and future meetings until further advice from Grand Lodge. As per blanket disposition of the Grand Master, all existing officers of Murilla Lodge will remain in their positions . This decision has not been taken lightly ; but, the executive of Murilla Lodge feel this action is necessary to protect our valued aged membership and play our part in protecting our local community from this pandemic

12.01.2022 Thank you for all the support both direct and indirect that made our Centennial celebration successful. From all reports, Murilla Lodge can be very proud of its image within the community. Our task now is to capitalise on the success of public exposure gained from the celebrations . The work for our next meeting then will be to craft a strategy to take Murilla Lodge into the future. I would ask that all members think about how this might be accomplished. For those unable to ...attend the regular meeting on the 24th, a written contribution containing your thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you Ben Rees W.M.

07.01.2022 Master and brethren of Murilla Lodge No. 265 have pleasure in congratulating Councillor George Moore on his re-election to public office in the recent Western Downs Regional Council election. Councillor Moore has served the community before with distinction as Deputy Mayor of the Western Downs Regional Council. At the local level, George has served as master of Murilla Lodge. His broad experience should be invaluable in his return to public office.
