09.01.2022 Mother nature at her best. This tree has sustained major attack by Mastotermes darwiniensis where the termites have all but ring barked its trunk. A Steel Post obviously from when the tree was planted continues to provide support, for behind it where it is embedded in the trunk there is a slither of sapwood which is keeping the tree alive. Just amazing how it all works!
