06.01.2022 Following the sudden chaos caused by dept of education restrictions this week MBM has worked immediately to alter our band sessions and tutorials to offer substantive music lessons to all students, alas some schools have stopped altogether for a range of reasons, but that doesnt mean you have to stop playing your instrument at home! We will also be launching a helpline for instrumental troubles on our website in the next day or so... you will be able to ask technical questions or sort out instrumental issues via email phone or zoom... stay tuned stay playing and dont forget we are here to help
06.01.2022 Thank you to the many supporters who have messaged me regarding the upgrading of restrictions at schools.. we are currently reviewing our options with a view to the following 4 criteria 1 highest safety to all students and tutors and attention to dept guidelines 2 we dont want any of our schools in the news for the wrong reasons so we are working to ensure the best for your school 3 offering students meaningful yet flexible lessons in percussion composition and theory whilst... maintaining all requirements 4 maintaining an income for all our staff and as best we can attending to everyones mental wellbeing as well as their morale Stay tuned for more. 03.01.2022 As you all excitedly sit down to watch Hamilton on Disney+ from today, please spare a thought for every single performer, designer, technician, crew member, war...drobe assistant, musician, usher, producer, front of house manager, stage manager, production manager, technical operator, stage door attendant, bartender, merchandise seller, cleaner, film crew and more who made this production, brought it to life and into your living room. None of them have worked for 3+ months, or will work for another 6 or more months, and many are about to lose all and any unemployment benefits. The arts are essential. We consume them all day, every day, and often dont even think about it. Artists are really greatly suffering during this pandemic, please keep us in mind just for a moment before enjoying this incredible show.

02.01.2022 May I ask that we stay vigilant and aware of our covid procedures... we have come a long way amd many of us have worked hard to provide a safe return to work and there are gigs and bands getting back to it, but it can fall apart super fast if we don’t stay alert.... get tested, stay safe and let’s lead the way to a full return

01.01.2022 Now more than ever we encourage our students to keep playing at home whenever possible. However, from time to time, their instruments let them down or little fingers put things in the wrong way during maintenance and its hard to find someone to help. Here at MBM, we operate a full repair workshop and can offer support from our technicians that might save the day for you. We can now offer a technical help request via an easy form on our website for when you need some guidance this will put you in contact with our workshop staff and at no charge, we will make every effort to help you out
01.01.2022 PhD study from Denmark. Conclusion says: The emission of aerosol measured from brass and wood wind instruments was very low, and almost at the same level as ba...ckground concentrations. Other experiments have shown very little airflow and very small aerosol concentrations at short distances from brass and woodwind instruments. Based on the actual measurements and the other studies mentioned 1 meter distance playing brass and woodwind instruments seems to be safe with respect to the risk of spreading aerosol from the instruments. This assumes that musician blow towards the back of fellow musicians. See more
