25.01.2022 Advance equine lameness diagnosis now avalable at Murray Vets. The Equinosis lameness locator is the most advanced lameness measurement system avalable. The system enables our vets to objectively measure and record lameness’ in horses using non invasive motion sensors. The ability to objectively measure a horses lameness aids in lameness and performance work ups, accurately monitoring therapy and rehabilitation responses and providing better care and outcomes for our equine patients #murrayvets #equinosis #equinelameness #sportshorse #lamenesslocator #equinesportsmedicine #veterinarymedicine

23.01.2022 This sweet little baby is being cared for by our wonderful nurse Jill. He was born with neonatal maladjustment syndrome (dummy foal). These babies display a range of abnormal neurological symptoms such as inability to stand, weakness, lack of suck reflex and inability to nurse. This little guy was treated using the Madigan foal squeeze procedure. Gentle pressure is applied to the foals chest and body which simulates the pressure that occurs during the passage through the birth canal. The process triggers biochemical changes in the foals central nervous system and initiating normal neurological function. Within 20 minutes of our vets performing this technique this little guy was up and nursing normally. #murrayvets #equinevet #foals #equinemedicine #foalcare #madigansqueeze

07.01.2022 Happy Vet nurses day to our amazing team of nurses, admin and stable hands. Each day you do an amazing job to keep the hospital running and ensuring each patient gets the very best of care. We appreciate you all so very much. This time of year it is really busy, so it was hard to get every one together for a photo shoot, Kel and Jill were captured in a stable!! But today I have a cake and that is a great way to get nurses together#murrayvets #vetnurse #equinenurse #vettech #vetnurseday #vetnurseday2019
