We are seeking a part-time music teacher that will work (mostly) after-school hours at the Musica Arioso studio in Parkes. Skills/experience required: Piano or keyboard training/experience with minimum 3rd grade music theory (2nd grade would be considered) Some knowledge of guitar/ukulele... Ability to work with children and adults. 08.01.2022 What a great day we had at Forbes Eisteddfod. I was so proud of the way everyone supported each other. The adjudicator was very encouraging, warm and friendly. I had a student comment to me that she was really nervous at first but his encouraging smile made her feel less nervous. :) Forbes Eisteddfod, you have earned your title of "The Friendly Eisteddfod" Thankyou for a lovely day. Results from the day: We had a tally of Firsts x10, Seconds x 5, Thirds x 1 and HC x17. ... Encouragement award 10yrs and under - Sophie Fahey Encouragement aware 12yrs and under - Emily Cox Encouragement award 13yrs and over - Shaianne Metzeling Most promising vocal soloist - any age - Grace Powley Well done to everyone.

03.01.2022 FORBES EISTEDDFOD UPDATE!!! There are truly no words to express how proud we are of each and every student that competed in this years Forbes Eisteddfod. Our final tally was 13 firsts, 5 seconds, 2 thirds, 22 highly commended , 3 encouragement awards and 1 most promising award. Not a bad effort. :) But.... It wasn't about the placings , it was about the building of confidence and performance skills learned. We have watched you prepare for this over the past couple of months..., and all your hard work has paid off. We cant wait to see your skills develop further and we will be on the look out to provide more opportunities for you to showcase your skills in the future. A big round of applause to you all.
