23.01.2022 I have 2 groups at the George Street Neighbourhood Centre for children up to school age. Tuesday is Rockin Kids Music Therapy and Friday is Community Music with the playgroup. Feel free to contact either myself or Toni George Street Neighbourhood Centre Association Inc. to make enquiries.

22.01.2022 Not sure if you can see the swelling but i have a suspected blocked saliva duct. Ultrasound didn’t find the stone so off for a saliva gland xray this morning. Not fun. I hope it unblocks soon coz it’s killing me and making me feel like crap.

I haven’t been great at organising myself as I’ve been distracted working out what to do with my children but I’m all over it now. I’m happy to accomodate whatever works for you. Messenger, FaceTime, Skype, phone. I’m here for you. Let’s support one another through these crazy and uncertain times. Stay safe and stay at home

18.01.2022 Dementia Music Therapy at St Francis of Assisi: We see so many little gems... Music Therapy is great because it can bring back old memories... who knows Bun...ni Banuzzi and had their family sing it to them as babies? This is Tania De Brincat Rmt with her Nunna, singing Bunni Banuzzi and explaining to the rest of us who aren't familiar with the song what it means. We would love to see this program continue after our next program finishes. If you would like to help, it's $1,500 for a 10 week program, and your donation would be tax deductible since we are DGR registered.

14.01.2022 Seeing as so many of us have pulled our kids from school I thought I’d share something I feel is being overlooked. Right now everyone is on a heightened level ...of stress and anxiety. Our kids are feeling it too. Even if they don’t understand there will be anxiety, confusion, fear and grief over all the changes and not seeing their friends. Don’t feel the need to change too much at home all at once. Use the holidays as a time to prepare for homeschooling. Get them involved. And don’t try and replace or copy an education setting. Get them involved around the house and do some reading. There’s heaps of learning in that. Right now comfort your kids and make them feel safe and secure. That’s our job as parents. Missing formal education for a couple of months will not hurt them. Anxiety and stress will though. Please stay safe and give your kids a hug from me See more

05.01.2022 Music Therapy is a fantastic way to reach so many goals. Here we are working on communication skills, language, problem solving, fine and gross motor skills, coordination, confidence and self esteem, sharing, turn taking, and self expression. All while having so much fun.

04.01.2022 My friend Tim has profound hearing loss. When he comes to our community music group he puts his hand on my throat to feel my vocal chords vibrate as I sing. I... also tap the beat on his leg. As you can see Tim loves singing with me when he is encouraged and engaged. This activity is helping him feel connected and more confident as he is participating in our awesome group. It helps improve his mood and provides opportunity for self expression.
