I hope you find s...ome value: - Everyone has a difficult trial. Everyone. Be compassionate. -When your looks get taken away, you better have a solid character or you’re screwed. - Priorities are revealed when abilities are stripped. When they know it all many students start looking only for dance festivals to learn new steps and enrich their dance portfolio. In our opinion THIS IS A MISTAKE Regular classes play a fundamental role at any level of dance: LEARN TECHNIQUES CONTINUALLY :: Regular classes are good at this. You don‘t just get one explanation of that one technique applied to that one movement. In a regular class you can work on one or more techniques simultaneously for several weeks or even months. This makes you master any technique faster and more consistently. STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE :: Once again we focus on the point social dances. What good is it to be in a world where you can socialize if you are alone? In regular classes you will certainly create relationships with different people, and find partners for training, traveling, or just hanging out. MORE PROXIMITY WITH TEACHERS :: Compared to festivals, regular classes always have considerably less people in the room. The rule is simple... If you have fewer people, the teachers will have more attention on their students. This is good for the fact that you get closer mentoring from those in the know. PRIVATE LESSONS:: It good to get good value of your private lessons if you also know where you are at with your growth in your dance which you get from your regular classes or trainings... Chante and Craig started dancing together since 2017, both wanted to practice dance outside of their dance disciplines (both have taught adults to dance for over 15 years). Craig is a West Coast Swing Dancer who started exploring zouk dancing when it was introduced to Adelaide. He is an WCS advanced dancer and enjoys leading and following. Chante was a Ballroom and Latin dancer, who was training in street salsa, bachata, samba no pe etc. when she travelled to Sydney Salsa festival and to Brazil central where she was introduced to Samba de Gaferia and then Zouk. Chante and Craig realised they shared many goals and were like-minded on how dance should be broken down and taught to people who started later in life, to promote degenderising dance and create an inclusive space. Together they are fiercely passionate about teaching adults (currently in WCS, Zouk and Bachata), creating choreographies and making dance accessible and inclusive for all people.
