17.01.2022 REVISED DATES FOR MV MX STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND REGIONAL ROUNDS As everyone is aware the impact of COVID-19 has impacted every part of our daily life the Committee along with Motorcycling Victoria has reviewed the potential for a restart and looking at setting new dates for the remainder of the year. We are currently waiting for the next review date of May 11 so that we know if at all what restrictions may be lifted and whether competition can return. We will continue to monit...or the effects of COVID-19 on our sport and the imposed restrictions that are being enforced by governments. We have contacted the clubs to discuss potential new dates and will release a new calendar as soon as the current restrictions are removed. Again, we apologies for the inconvenience but our primary concern is the health and welfare of our competitors, families, officials and support staff. If you have any concerns please contact us on the below emails [email protected] for all General enquiries [email protected] for Senior Title enquires [email protected] for Junior Title enquires. 16.01.2022 Victorian Motocross Grading Open 2021 The 2020 Motocross season in Victoria has been challenging to say the least and the Victorian Motocross Committee did what they could to get the junior series completed, and a senior series off the ground. However, the Committee was unable to do so within the Victorian Sports COVID-19 Guidelines. The Committee is aware that for riders competing in their final appearance in a class 2020 has been a devastating blow. Due to the limited racin...g events and COVID-19, it would be unfair to complete any Motocross Grading this year. To combat this, the Victorian Motocross Committee will be holding a stand-a-lone Motocross Grading event in early 2021 as long as Victorian Sports COVID-19 Guidelines can be met. This grading event will be unique, the 2021 STEP UP OPEN. This event will offer all riders the opportunity to step up one grade and allowing the grading committee to witness the ability of a rider in the grade they think they are suited for, and racing in that grade. This event will cater only for those wanting to be placed into either A or B Grade. However, the event will also need riders who are already graded as A or B grade to enter to create a racing field contrast. If you think you are ready to move up a grade, come along and give it your best shot. 2021 STEP UP OPEN 13/14 FEBRUARY WONTHAGGI Due to the format being around GRADING, there will be NO 50cc, C Grade or VETS races. CLASSES JUNIORS: 65, 85sw, 85bw, 125 and 250. SENIOR: MX1, MX2 & LADIES # All 2020 A Grade Juniors stepping up to Seniors in 2021 will all race B Grade in their first year. But we encourage you to race this event and test yourself against the current B Grade Seniors and make those wanting to be graded work for it.

16.01.2022 A message from Mark Hancock the chair of MxSx Australia, and one of our favourite officials. There is still plenty of time and we don't know exactly how the recovery might work for us. The last 2 months have been very dynamic as far as restrictions go. If we can just get riding again that is a good start.... Use the announced RPA system which has been developed and refined over the past 18 months by MA/SCB is the only way that riding will be allowed in the short term. This will be good for clubs. Then as the next couple of months takes place and as restrictions ease the organisers will be able to consider how competition can be managed. They may need to be creative and it might not be the same as your used to. Obviously club level will be first and then roadmaps can be established. The biggest thing in our favour is being an outside sport and all food is takeaway. We will be racing this year. And with all stakeholders input something workable will occur. It may not be ideal but the committee's will do the best they can. Please work with them and support all they are trying to achieve. The most important thing is to turn up every time something is happening at your club. That includes getting to working bees, assisting in official duties etc. They need your help and support Any racing is good racing and is a bonus. But riding your bikes and working with your mates is the greatest bonus of all, even if there is no racing. See more

12.01.2022 HELP FIND KOLBY'S MOTORBIKE The Finch family from Axe Creek were holidaying at Torrumbarry last weekend when dad Justin crashed his motorbike and was found ...by campers. Justin was taken to Echuca Regional Hospital and his wife Rachel stored his and their son Kolby’s motorbikes in a shed at the caravan park they were staying at. The next day Rachel went back to find seven-year-old Kolby’s bike was stolen overnight. It’s very disheartening, I haven’t managed to tell my son just yet that his bike was stolen I think that would just add to the devastation of what he witnessed on Sunday, she said. He’s already pretty devastated about his dad being quite unwell. She’s now calling for the public’s help to find the missing Yamaha TTR110. If you have information, call Echuca Police Station on 03 5483 1500 See more

12.01.2022 The committee of the Hattah Desert Race has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Penrite Hattah Desert Race, scheduled to run from 3-5 July 2020. In l...ight of the global pandemic and the implications it has for large gatherings, and closed borders across the country, the decision, though deeply disappointing, is necessary. At an extraordinary Committee meeting last night, the Committee looked at all possible options, including moving the date to August, however without a crystal ball on what this pandemic will look like, this tough decision was made. Last night the decision was also made that due to the 2020 race cancellation, all top 40 and place-getter pre-entries will be carried forward to the 2021 Hattah Desert Race. We understand the challenges this poses for our many local organisations and service groups and are working on reaching out as quickly as possible to advise of the cancellation. As a non-profit, community and volunteer-driven organisation based in Mildura, we understand the power and importance of community and are turning our focus inward for the short-term to ensure we continue to contribute to our great region. We want to thank those volunteers who had been working hard at working bees to get the track and facilities ready for the 2020 race. We look forward to additional announcements from the Federal and State Governments in the near future, so we can get back out on the dirt and doing what we love. We wish to thank all our competitors for their patience during this time. Keep an eye on our social channels for the 2021 date and continue to send through your favourite #HattahMoment. Kind regards, Hattah Desert Race Committee

01.01.2022 Dandenong Motorcycle Club (DMCC) & Wonthaggi MX Track hosted the AMX MX OPEN at the weekend (Sunday 13th Dec 2020), and what a spectacular event it was. To hav...e the opportunity to be involved as a photographer, was an absolute awesome experience for me personally. The talent of riders, both Jnrs & Snrs was exceptional. Many thanks to Caroline & Darren Garlick and to Sarah from the Honda Racing Team who made me feel welcome, and showing me what dreams are made of for riders who put in the hard yards (the factory trailer setup looked awesome)... A bunch of us got to together on the Saturday night, with great food, laughs and many drinks, then a 6am start on the Sunday....It was absolutely awesome. If anyone is wanting to purchase any photos, just drop me a message via my facebook page. Cheers peeps until next time. See more
