05.01.2022 This is a little recap of how our business evolved. This ice-cream has always been one of our favourites, since we were little girls. When we travelled to the Middle East, that was one of the first things on ... our to-do list was to get (Booza ice-cream). Many years later, someone posted a recipe on social media and we decided to give it a try, unfortunately it didn't taste the same, but we never gave up! We tried making the ice-cream a number of times and unfortunately some of the ingredients that we needed were extremely hard to find in Australia. It took a long time to track these ingredients down, until a friend who was overseas on a Holiday bought us the special ingredients that we have been searching for. After many late nights, we finally perfected the recipe. When Eid came we decided to serve the ice-cream instead of the traditional Eid biscuits and the feedback from our family and friends was amazing. We then had those friends ask us if they could purchase ice-cream rolls off us as they also liked the idea of serving this ice-cream for Eid. This is when we knew we were onto something special. A few days later we decided to start our own business. It took us a while to choose a name, but once we agreed on "Booza-T" everything happened smoothly. We supply both the traditional Arabic ice-cream known as Booza and the traditional Turkish ice-cream known as Maras. They are both very popular One of our main struggles was we both live in two different areas Merrylands and Edmondson Park. It was difficult for us to make the ice-cream together so we decided that we would make the ice-cream and sell it from both locations, which has worked out really well. Our customers love that they are able to pick up ice-cream from both locations.
