18.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON DAVID HINDMARSH: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE David Hindmarsh has spent his whole working life in Sales and spending a lot of his spare time up around the Yorke Peninsular. He has been with Mybutcher as part of the sales team since last year and has done his apprenticeship in our production area to familiarize himself with our products. Where has your job taken you?... I worked with Coopers Brewery as a Sale Executive for 30 years and it has taken me over the whole of SA and NT and now with Mybutcher my areas are around the CBD, Eastern, Northern, Gawler, Barossa, Adelaide Plains and York Peninsula. What roles have you had in the past? All my working life has been spent as a Sales Executive, I found meeting people and working with their business to help with their growth is what I loved and so I continued with that role! What do you like most about working in the food service industry? Providing our great range of SA and Australia products to the Food Service industry backed up by MyButcher’s service to our clients. Many of the chefs I meet are so passionate about their food and their customers experience - they are always looking for great quality which Mybutcher can of course supply. What changes have you seen occurring since March shut down/slow down? The whole industry has had to look at new ways to reach their market and it has made for some interesting and diverse approaches and to be a part of this has been great. Your favourite cut of meat and meal? I loved to sit down to a Roast or Leg of Lamb cooked on charcoal and a good Red Wine What do you like to do outside of work? Catching up with friends for a meal or a drink and fishing at York Peninsula riding my Harley Davison on a warm summers day and competing in Target Rifle Shooting What is your favourite food region of the world? Italy

13.01.2022 Meeting the Mybutcher Team TZE KHAW : Account Executive A chef by trade, Tze has over 39 years’ experience in the food industry and most of it in large commercial kitchens around Adelaide. Tze has always been a supporter of all things South Australian and has found this easy with the amazing produce available in our own state. Tze joined mybutcher in October last year and has found the role reversal in the kitchen an interesting development in his career, challenging and en...joyable. Where has your role as Chef taken you? Starting in Adelaide in 1981 at Adelaide Oberoi Group, some of you may remember it, then the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne then to Regent Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Next was the Rapperswil in Switzerland, back to Adelaide with the Intercontinental Group, then off overseas again to the South of France before returning to run the Adelaide Convention Centre from 1994-2015, over 20 years. What do you like best about working in the Food Service Industry? I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and the personalities that comes with this. Some of the new hospitality owners are amazingly young and very open to a variety of options and ideas. What is your favourite meat and meal? A piece of Rib Eye on the bone, slow grilled, well rested and eaten with a BIG red wine from Coonawarra. What roles have you had over your career? I have always had kitchen roles, spreading over 20 years with the Adelaide Convention Centre, running wine bars, part of a Food Truck and Steak House in Malaysia. What do you like to do outside of work? Spending time with my children and partner, having friends over for a bite and a drink and playing golf when time permits.

05.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON PETER MEURET: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Peter Meuret is a valued member of the sales team at mybutcher and for those of you that follow the SANFL might recognize his name as a past player for West Adelaide FC. Peter played 206 games for West Adelaide between 1976 and 1986. He is a life member of both WAFC and SANFL (200 games +) and an inaugural inductee of the West Adelaide Hall of Fame in 2005. Hailing originally from Broken Hill he represented New South Wales in his j...unior footy career and has also represented South Australia 3 times. He also spent many happy years coaching West Adelaide juniors and at Morphettville Park Football Club (Southern Football League) which included an A grade premiership in 1990. What roles have you had over your career? As well as the 10 years as a professional football player I have spent 37 years in the Sales arena. Prior to mybutcher I have worked predominately in liquor and wine, but mainly in the food service side of sales. What do you like best about working in the food service industry? I really enjoy the friendships I make and the relationships I develop. Working in this diverse industry has taught me different ways to negotiate and navigate through life. Where has your Career taken you? I have travelled all over our state and I know for a fact that we grow and produce the best foods and wines and eat the best here in South Australiait sells itself. What is your favourite Meal? A T-bone, Scotch or Rib Eye cooked to ‘Peter Meuret’ perfection matched with a glass of wine produced from the Coonawarra area. What do you like to do outside of work? Spending time with my family, kids and grandkids and entertaining friends. I have also enjoyed being associated with the Balaklava Racing Club and this was recognized with a Life membership of Balaklava Racing Club 2017

04.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON STEPHEN CRANWELL : ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Steve has been in the meat industry since the beginning of his work life so there is not much he doesn’t know or hasn’t seen. He started 35 years ago as an apprentice butcher at Glenelg and has always lived and worked in Adelaide and the Hills region so he is probably known to many of you in the food service industry. What job roles have you had in the past.... My first job was in the meat room at an Adelaide supermarket, then into retail, owning my own store for ten years in Gumeracha in the mid 90’s. The next career change was into production management in wholesale/retail business and then into their Sales for the last 5 years. I joined mybutcher around 18 months ago as part of their Sales Team. What do you like best about working in the food service industry? The amazing SA food bowl that we have here means that there are so many great places to eat and so many people doing good things with local produce and to be part of this industry is a great motivator for me. What changes have you seen occurring over the past 35 years in food service? Our customers now have more refined tastes, looking for greater variety and are more educated, more interested in general where the product they are creating meals with comes from. Since Covid 19 occurred it has been amazing to see how businesses have adapted and changed with such things as cook/eat at home packs, online ordering directly with venues, different food offerings that work in these situations. It has also been necessary for them to rapidly adapt to social media to get menu and messages out but customers have changed too and embraced this change trying to support their local venues it’s been phenomenal and challenging for our customers forced into this change. What are your customers talking to you about? There has recently been a lot of questions around where Australia sits with pricing and overseas pressure on our product and how it will flow on to the local market. Currently there are a lot of secondary cuts going into the USA market pushing beef pricing up. What is your favourite cut of meat and meal? I can’t go past a lamb loin chop, peas carrots and mash. What do you like to do outside of work? Spend time with family and kids boating and fishing in the river or on the sea.
