17.01.2022 Got a few Slayers together today and we hit up Varsity Lakes for a tilapia slay.. when we arrived we met too older blokes there who waved us down straight away and said get over here fellas they are every where . We joined them gave em a few tips they got a fair few and called it quits when the rain came threw . We stayed and fished threw the rain it slowed down a little bit so we moved up a bit further where we found schools of micro tilapia . Switched up my hook to a #22 w...hich is absolutely tiny to see how small the smallest tilapia Is that I could get on a hook was and I was rewarded with a 3cm tilapia We ended up with 315 in roughly 3 1/2 hours . The place was riddled with them !!! Every where u looked it was schools of small tilapia. It was that bad we could hold our rods with 300mm of line of the top drop it down straight in front of us and catch tilapia !! Overall it was a good day spent with mates doing our part for the system and looking forward to getting in and slaying some breeders on a trip in the near future !! 16.01.2022 Went out for a strap in a mates boat flicking banks for flatties, hitting up tailor when we seen the birds diving and were looking for some drop offs to jig for Jewfish. We managed a heap of tailor just legal/ barely legal size . We managed 12 flathead aswell but the catch of the day was the unexpected mangrove Jack that took a liking to my Holt Productions 4 prawn . Was a cracker of a day can’t wait to get back out there .

ROUND ONE will be held at the same location as our last event on Saturday the 9th May . It will be very similar to last years event however we may change prize categories slightly .... Registration will be online once again , you will have to purchase your tickets threw Eventbrite link once we have it all set up . Once you have secured your ticket you will then have to complete the online waiver form. 05.01.2022 Fished a stretch of the Coomera with some mates on Saturday morning . And I had the worst day on the water Ive experienced yet .. ended up snapping 2 rods . Lost $40+ worth of lures and I also snapped my steering cables for the rudder on my kayak so was a fun pedal back to the ramp . video is the Eel that snapped my first rod !

05.01.2022 Had some spare time today so I decided to hit up one of my goto spots on the Coomera River . Got to the location only to find it was heavily impacted by the recent heavy rain.. explored the area only to find schools of bait getting smashed !! I flicked my plastic in and got destroyed. Busted my 6lb leader in a matter of seconds. Re tied another plastic only for it to happen again!! I then decided Id up my leader as I had some 20lb in my bag .. I put the 20lb on few cast la...ter I landed a healthy 32cm jack to Christen my new BragRag .. for those of you whom have never seen or heard of the brag rag check them out on the link below . 02.01.2022 Decided to brave the winds this morning and target some fish on soft plastics in the upper reaches of the Coomera River. I Managed a few smaller bream on a munroes paddle tail before I decided to catch up with Sean from Gold Coast Fishing Fanatics to target some fresh water species on some new grounds we explored. 02.01.2022 The boys out slaying some tilapia in preparation for next weeks event, we managed to slay 152 @15kg in little then 2 hours, the biggest going at 43.5cm caught by Anthony. It was a awesome little session with Peter, Terina, Paul, Antony and myself, Sean.
