18.01.2022 Wow, January went by so quickly! A reminder for GST registered Businesses - the Quarter 2 2018 BAS lodgement and payment date is Wednesday 28th February. Make sure to get in on time as the ATO may apply a late fee of up to $850.00 per overdue BAS. Nothing too exciting we know, but Ooh so important if you are in business and intend to succeed. We are committed to the whole ‘being informative’ side of social media.

10.01.2022 Tips for Small Business Chances are, no matter what kind of business you run, you have to deal with bits of paper (receipts). Whether you’re a retailer, café owner, tradie, you’re going to need those receipts.... Receipts are important because they help you track your expenses, and we all know how important deductions are to small business at tax time. Keeping track of your business expenses will also assist in determining cash flow. Generally, having proof of your expenses is mandatory for tax purposes and will help you to write off some of the necessary expenses you encounter as a business owner. How long should you keep receipts for? The ATO recommends small business keep their receipts as well as income tax work for 5 Years. I know you’re thinking that’s a lot of paper but with technology’s help this is as easy as a few clicks on the internet. You can scan your receipts and store them as PDF’s on your computer, Keep photo’s, use apps, or a cloud-based service, like Receipt Bank. (You can still keep your paper copies the old fashioned way just so long as you can find them IF required).
