We would like to let everyone know that the Australian Government has placed all dental practices nation wide on level 3 restrictions. This means that routine dental treatment has to be stopped and that only urgent and emergency dental treatment will be allowed. As you may have seen, many dental practices have closed as a result of this Covid-19 pandemic. We at MDCH are still currently open and committed to helping our community by seeing emergency and urgent cases. However, we are operating with reduced opening hours, days and staff. If you are experiencing pain or dental issues please contact our practice on 3902 1023. If we do not answer, you can contact us via Facebook messenger. As we would prefer people to stay home unless it is absolutely necessary, when you call our practice we will be doing a telephone consultation first. This will help us assess your situation better and determine if an appointment is necessary. If you do need to see us, we would like to reiterate that we are taking every precaution to keep our staff, our patients and our community safe from this virus. 22.01.2022 Due to the current COVID-19 situation, My Dentist at Cannon Hill will be implementing some measures to keep you safe and to help our community by reducing the spread. These measures are paramount to the safety of our community, patients and staff and we ask you to adhere to these protocols. 1. If you or anyone in the household have just returned from overseas we ask you to defer all dental treatment for 14 days. 2. If you or anyone in the household have had ANY of the followi...ng symptoms (regardless of travel history) - fever, cough, widespread body aches (flu-like), sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, vomiting, or diarrhoea, you must not attend until you (or them) have been 100% well for at least 48 hours or have had a negative Corona virus test. 3. When you do arrive at our practice we ask that you use our alcohol hand sanitiser provided at the reception desk. Please remember to not touch your face, mouth, nose and eyes. 4. Only the patient will be permitted in the treatment room unless it is someone below the age of 18. In this situation the parent / guardian may attend the treatment room as well. 5. To reduce the number of people in the waiting room, please only arrive 5 mins before your appointment. Any accompanying person we kindly ask you to wait outside. 6. In the waiting room we will remove all magazines and reading material to reduce any possible spread of infection. 7. Our staff will be regularly wiping with disinfectant all door handles and the reception desk. 8. Our staff will disinfect all pens, clipboards, reception chairs and the arcade machine after each use. 9. As X-ray aprons are optional we will no longer be using X-ray aprons when taking X-rays for the time being. 10. Before your dental procedure we may ask you to use a mouth rinse. Please be assured that we will continue to adhere to our stringent infection control protocols in our sterilising rooms and treatment rooms.
