25.01.2022 As you may know Mobile and Home grooming salons have had to remain closed until the 19th of October. The salons that are open cannot keep up with the extremely high demand that is out there of dogs needing to be groomed! Some are really urgent. These busy salons are booked through October November and some even the rest of the year, so are unable to cater for our clients needing help! I am receiving constant calls, emails & texts from people desperate to get in, half of them... are not even my clients. And that's just my business alone, I know of other closed groomers getting the same! So the demand is high right now! So how are these dogs going to be helped? I have told a few to contact their veterinarians and tell them their dog requires a welfare groom. Unfortunately vets don't have time for such things and were all told "no" that "we are not groomers" I, as well as some of my wonderful customers have taken it upon themselves to contact their local members to express the concern that something needs to happen here. Ideally Dan needs to reverse the decision immediately and / or bring the date closer for reopening. The larger salons are grooming up to 30dogs per day, which to me is a bucket load of traffic compared to my small salon, so it's a very confusing implementation hes put in place. I am unsure of where the logic is in Dan Andrews decision. I provide; Contactless drop off and pick up I sanitise consistently I provide hand sanitizers. Everyone wears a mask I encourage you to email your local member in hope that Dog groomers Home & Mobile can open sooner to help these dogs in need. Photo of what a welfare groom looks like! The owner said she had been very depressed and not wanting to eat or play much. After this groom she was instantly back to her happy 2year old playful, full of life self!
24.01.2022 YES! I am open again! 1st day back was yesterday & was a very long 12 hour working day. I am working through my list of rescheduled appointments. I still have about 80 dogs to find appointments for, so if you were booked in prior to October 19th you are on my list, in order of appointment, I will be in touch with a new time ASAP I promise! I’ve hired help to get through them much quicker!

18.01.2022 First week back was so thrilling to seeing you all! Thank you so so SO much for so much support this week! You’ve all been so so kind to me in so many ways it’s been extremely touching! Feeling very loved & so appreciated after this week. As exhausted as I am it’s what has kept me going! To being delivered afternoon tea, given tips, lunch reminders, offers of help to wash dogs for me, bottles of wine and extremely kind conversations and words with each drop off ...and pick up have given me such a boost & tears to keep at what felt like one very long week! You all know who you are! Even during lockdown so many of you offered to give me money or pay a bill for me to help me through the 3months of not working. So thoughtful of you to think of me! It’s been absolutely incredibly touching & it still brings tears to my eyes. LOTS of love & gratefulness in my heart. Anita Xoxo Now for week 2! See more

10.01.2022 EDIT: My inbox is overflowing! At this stage Bodhi has a meet and greet this weekend with a family who has one of our grown up puppies. If for some reason it d...oesn’t work out, I’ll be in touch with the people who have contacted me today. Thankyou so much to everyone who has messaged me to offer this beautiful boy a home. Due to a workplace injury, which means his mum can no longer give him the exercise he needs, this beautiful 9 month old boy needs to be rehomed. Bodhi currently lives in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He’s a medium groodle, standing just over knee height and weighs 20.1kgs. He has a Choc Phantom, non shedding wool coat. He’s desexed, up to date with worming and vaccinations and has completed Level 1 Puppy School with daily ongoing training with hand signals. Bohdi is an amazing, active but placid dog. He is great with kids. Loves food and playing ball. He will retrieve and bring back and drop it on command. He is treat driven which makes it easy for him to learn. He loves to go for walks, but is strong, and loves going in the car. At night he loves to sit in front of the heater or affectionately on your feet. He loves a good old pat and scratch on the belly. He will be sold to the right family and come with 2 designer collars, matching lead and poop bags, bowls, Kong toys, food storage container and his treats. Please contact me by private message to begin with, with any further questions you may have. And **please** before doing so, make sure you have the first with your partner, your landlord, your social life etc etc. Finding the right family is a time consuming task and sadly, in the past, a lot of effort has gone in to finding the right homes for puppies, to then find out it actually doesn’t suit. 04.01.2022 Not a bargain Please take important note if you feed these dental treats. Firstly, this Mars product does very little for dental health, if anything at ...all. In fact they may cause harm from toxin buildup. Despite being a combination of cereals (unhealthy), ambiguous humectant, (likely chemical) preservatives and flavours, you’ll see the ingredient Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) - an inorganic compound commonly found in domestic and industrial products such as detergents. STPP in small amounts may serve to remove stains, but won’t address real dental concerns such as periodontal disease. Ironically many pets suffer dental disease from commercial pet foods which do nothing to prevent this. For example, if you feed your dog My Dog sachets, another Mars product, then the lack of gnawing, chewing, and tearing will lead to poor dental health, bacteria, and toxin build up, subsequently leading to overall poor health. STPP can be toxic if fed in excess. Sadly this is a common occurrence with treats such as this, especially with small/toy breeds who are often fed treats in excess. Note the labeling on this product - only feed 1 treat per day for a 25kg dog. Sadly many consumers are not aware of this, or the reason why. If your dog (or cat) has stained teeth, plaque, or dog breath then these are very real concerns which need to be addressed properly, either with an element of the diet being raw meaty bones, or regular brushing. Failing that you may be faced with an expensive operation to have your pet’s teeth removed, or worse.
