Below is a note from one of the Double Trouble Duo of our Central Coast Cancer Council Team, Jayne Maloney. "Most of you will know my beautiful Sarah my work-wife, my wing-wo-man and one of my best friends. I love her and I love her family. Sarah’s husband Phil is the epitome of a ‘top bloke’ he lives for his kids and his family, has a ...funny, dry wit, loves a beer and a chat, and he’s one of those ‘everything’ guys. He does everything for everyone and has been no stranger to minding my kids, doing man-jobs around my house, pick ups and drop offs, and laughing at my jokes when they aren’t funny. He is a legend. Phil has fought brain cancer for 8 years with endless amounts of courage and dignity, mostly with a smile and always making the most of his beautiful life. Devastatingly, Phil’s treatment has now ceased and he is in decline. Phil, Sarah and their girls have been told that now is the time for them to make memories. I can’t even fathom. Many of you have contacted me asking what you can do, how you can help - because this is so beyond shit and it leaves people who love them feeling so beyond helpless. If you would like to help and to support the Russell family please join us in our Hustle for the Russell’s, a fundraiser to support the future of their beautiful girls, Stella & Clancie.
